That’s coming along nicely Coxy11 . I’m very impressed with the running. I’m increasing my steps, especially whilst up at the allotment but I haven’t run regularly for a couple of years. Sorry to hear about your SIL, hope she fights it off quickly.
My colleague had her baby last Friday. So now I know the name, date and weight I need to stitch every chance I get. Otherwise she’ll be starting school before I’m finished!
I really want to make some quick red, white and blue bunting for Friday. Nothing fancy just cut triangles with my pinking sheers and stitch to whatever I can find. Am I a bad woman to be looking for wedding samplers for September?
Jazee what are button bands if you don’t mind me asking?

The button bands are knitted ( or cloth) strips about 4 inches by one inch with a button at each end for the nurses to put at the back of their head to attach the elastic on the face masks too.  Saves the elastic cutting into their ears for twelve hours.

Coxy sorry to hear about your sister, positive thoughts for a quick recovery. I hope the ordered floss arrives quickly, mail is a bit hit & miss atm.

Charly27, have you tried the lap frame yet? my friend makes knitted toys for kids born some are now adults and she still hasn't finished them :D

Jazee, I've seen those bands, they sound easy to make and I bet the nurses are very grateful.

Not much crafting here again about 50 stitches on The Junction, I also attempted the sleeves on my jumper, I hated them so 3 attempts later i'm still no closer to completing it.

Thank you Jazee I didn’t even know that was a thing. Of course that makes perfect sense. That is such a small thing that must have a big impact. nmm the frame has made a big difference. So grateful for the recommendation. I’m stitching so much more now and not experiencing the same level of pain and numbness in my hands. I’ll post a photo of my progress.

Hi all hope you had an enjoyable bank holiday however you celebrated. DH and I had a full English breakfast late morning and an afternoon tea. I didn’t make any bunting after a busy week at work and sewing and planting at home and allotment. So I’ve stitched the 4 of the 24 for the date, A-F of the alphabet and other bits. Trying to sew by natural light as I find I’m more accurate. Still got a few mistakes, some unpicked and some worked into the design!

Charly27, That's coming together nicely, only you will spot the mistakes I can't see any :)

I've completed a couple of stripes on my blanket and another 50 or stitches on The Junction, will take a photo in the daylight tomorrow.

These are some of the button bands.  When I ran out of buttons a lovely lady made some from fimo clay.  Currently knitting hats now for the prem babies.

    Hi everyone,
Charly27 - the sampler is coming along nicely - I can't see any mistakes either! I love HSC designs, they are so classic.
Love the button bands Jazee - and great to now be knitting prem baby hats. So lovely.
I've started the Dune crochet blanket as still waiting for the snow white thread to finish off Christmas Pots. I did about 6 rows and ended up with crocheter's thumb - so painful! Left the blanket for a week or so and am now doing a little at a time. Think that's the way to go! Whilst looking for the correct sized crochet hook I found the threads for PL San Francisco - I have re-ordered these with the snow white thread grrrr - that will teach me to be disorganised!
Some neighbours had BBQ's and picnics on their driveways on Friday, which continued into the evening with them sitting together until well past midnight. Unfortunately I got (viciously attacked) bitten by a bug on Friday morning and my leg and ankle swelled up - so painful. DH worked all day on Friday anyway so we didn't join in. Had to go to A&E for anti-biotics on Sunday as elevation and ice weren't making any difference. I am very susceptible to bug bites and obviously very succulent right now. It's on the mend, but annoyingly I can't go running at the moment. Hey ho!
Will post photo of blanket later when I get a chance.
