Coxy, ouch at the bug bite sounds painful, but silver lining you get more time to craft :) Love the Dune blanket the colours are lovely.

Double ouch Coxy. My sister is a succulent like you and has an extreme reaction to bug bites. I’m not quite as sensitive, but I’m quite cautious at dusk but you got bitten in the morning. Hopefully antibiotics will clear it quickly. The blanket is gorgeous. Take it easy with the crochet.

I’ve finally got brave enough to share some of my ‘makes’. Please be gentle with me, I’m only a very amateur crafter, but what I miss in skill I make up for in enthusiasm! I don’t know why my pictures are enormous, I need to get better at computer stuff 🤦‍♀️This is my first attempt at upholstery, I recovered an old padded box and put brass castors on it. And this is just a little lavender bag I’ve made ready for my aunt’s birthday soon.

Discount duck what fabulous makes, I love the padded box looks shop bought :) The little lavender bag is cool you are very talented, I can't even put a zip in a bag, haha.

OMG DD - they are lovely makes! Nothing amateur about either of those. Love the footstool - do you have a before pic?
My threads arrived yesterday so I will be stitching more snow on the Christmas Pots this weekend. Will mark the confetti stitches out with pins I think as I'm sewing on evenweave rather than aida. Also plan to do more crochet.
In other news, my bug bite is getting much better - thank you for the sympathy! What a wimp to be floored by a bug bite lol. I had a really good night's sleep and managed a short 2.5k run this morning. Ankle still a bit stiff and swollen, but once I got going it wasn't too bad.
    Have a good day all,

DD both of those look amazing. Never been brave enough to tackle upholstery - phenomenal.
Glad you’re on the mend Coxy.
I’ve been desk bound all week marking portfolios. The end is now in sight. So allotment tomorrow and some reading and stitching.
A bit of a reprieve with a couple of W.i.p.s as we don’t feel confident to travel to Southampton week after next so now have until  July to complete.
Will update on Sunday. Happy weekend.

nmm that’s looking good. I noticed you’ve started from a corner. I’m doing that on my next project. Every kit I’ve had advises starting stitching in the middle but that drives me to distraction and I find it so easy to make a mistake in my counting.

On bigger projects I find it easier to count from the corner, the blue thread helps get the starting point as its done in blocks of 10, but after a few rows i'm usually fine. I also mark stitches done on a photocopy of the chart with a highlighter to keep track. I start in the center on small card size projects.
