Hi everyone,
I hope that you all had a good BH weekend. We saw family on Sunday - it was nice to catch up. DH and I went for a drive yesterday to East Sussex/Kent villages looking at potential retirement locations(!). It's a way off (DH only 47) but I literally cannot waitHad a nice lunch in a pub and realised that it was still August so got EOTHO discount - bonus! Purchased a kitchen knife set, two pillows and a set of tea towels for DD university stash. Still lots to get eeek.
I've now completed 64/100 (128/200) rows of the blanket. Even did two rows before work today as was up early for a 5k run - a bit nippy at 6am but felt good
Will continue tonight whilst watching Strike on catch up.
Hope today goes well Charley27.
Have a good day all,
Coxy xx

Morning!
68/100 (136/200) rows of the blanket now completed. I didn't do any yesterday - had three online work meetings, two of which I had to take minutes at..... so had a chilled evening as was pooped.
No chance of us returning to the office just yet as 3 out of 4 floors in our building are being used for the C-19 response so it will be fitting a pint into a half pint pot, which isn't going to happen! This weekend we are seeing friends tomorrow night for a Thai meal. Haven't seen them since December! Sunday I will be shopping with DD for the rest of her uni stuff. Exciting but busy times.
Hope you're all going well and managing to get some creative time in.

Morning (just)!
Best laid plans. DD went to get uni stuff on Friday armed with my credit card eeek! Most things okay although she did get a 2 place setting of cutlery (minus teaspoons) in gold, for £20 from JL! That is going back! Managed to get a 4 place setting for £15 in A!di, Tupperware, digital scales and cleaning cloths, so we are almost there. I will be going out for the remainder on Friday as I have a day off.
In crafting news, I had hoped to meet KnK friends this morning. Was going to take laptop with me as boss in meetings all morning. Unfortunately boss has a raging temperature so is off and wanted me to cancel/rearrange the diary, so I didn't get to go meet my pals. Boss trying to arrange a C-19 test as we speak! The blanket is now 73/100 (146/200) complete. Will do more tonight.
How are all your projects going?

Hello all. I treated myself to one of the new Bothy Thread designs although I haven't started it yet.Has anyone purchased the Disney Cross Stitch magazine that's been advertised on TV? I don't think I will bother as the designs don't look right to me plus its not clear how many patterns you get in each magazine? I saw its a week by week thing as well so will work out quite expensive.Would welcome reviews if you have purchased it1

Good morning all,
Nice to 'see' you Flat_Eric. Which Bothy Thread design did you go for? I saw the Disney part work advertised. I too feel they are expensive given some of the charts may not appeal. I'm trying really hard to curb my stash and only buy what I need.
I've now done 77/100 (154/200) rows of the blanket. DH popped out last night so I put on a film - On Chesil Beach - and got stuck in. Film a bit of a slow burn (literally) but will watch the other half another time.
It's my birthday today so out for cake with DH at lunchtime, then dinner out with children tonight at a local meze place - nom.

Happy Birthday Coxy
Have a great day xx
I went for the Somebunny to love design. I though it was really cute1 -
Happy Birthday Coxy, hope you enjoyed the cake
Your DD has expensive tastes, glad you returning them, so would i haha. I managed another stripe on my blanket, but thats all this week, hoping to get back to it soon.
Flat_Eric, somebunny to love designs are so cute, my first kit was a country companions one. I won't be getting the disney mag, no kids so not for me, but if anyone sees a baby yoda design i may be tempted, i love that little guy.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I was a lucky girl and received several new books, perfume, flowers and a giftcard for our local shopping mall. Also a rum tasting set from DS1 - he knows how to please his Mum!
No crafting done at all this weekend as we had family over on Saturday for a send off for DD as we take her to uni on Saturday. Yesterday was spent tidying up and ironing(!) - the pleasure of school shirts again now DS2 is back at school. Too hot here for any crocheting - loving the sunshine today. Will definitely need to send the blanket on to DD
Hope your projects are all going well.
