    Hey everyone!
As nmm will already know (because we are now Face Ache buddies :D ) I finished DDs blanket last night - whoohooo! I started on the border at about 5.30pm, had a break to eat takeaway pizza around 7.30pm, and finished at about 10.30pm. Whadya know the last round of the border used a stitch I'd not done before - typical - so it took a little while to get into my stride (ldc). Celebrated by drinking wine, which meant I've had a sluggish headache all day today. Visited DD at uni. I pre-booked parking at the station right next to her halls of residence. Only 10 spaces - 2 of which disabled - and not a space to be had when we arrived at 12.30pm. I was a bit miffed, as had planned to leave the car there and travel by train into Brighton as it's only 2 stops. Parking in Brighton is horrifically expensive, but we had no choice but to drive in. £21 down on parking, plus £5 for the pre-booked one! Had a lovely lunch in the Lanes area of Brighton, walked along the prom, went for a wander around the pier, and ended the day with coffee and cake. She looked very happy and I'm so relieved that she's enjoying uni life.
She was really pleased with the blanket, if only because her room can get a bit chilly. Have told her not to get 'crunk' and ruin it!

So now I will carry on with the Pair Tree cross stitch design. Will it be completed and framed for Christmas? That's the $1m question :D

Ouch at the parking Coxy, glad your DD loves her blanket. I managed some of the Junction and a few stripes of my blanket, only 3 to go then the border, the end is in sight, not bad considering i started it in January  :D

Hi all. Coxy hope you’re finding some relief for your back by doing the stretches and Pilates.
You’re really sprinting into the home straight with the blanket, to use a running analogy. I have never crocheted a blanket but did knit one for my GD and quite liked darning in the ends but I wasn’t working to such a tight deadline.
I’ve messed up the second blinking giraffe for a second time so will have more unpicking to do. 😡 What’s made it a challenge is the first one I stitched had a few errors in so I’ve been trying to replicate that in reverse and doesn’t work for me! I think I need to unpick and start again.
On the positive side I picked up some DMC thread in town so I’ve completed the stork at least he no longer has a flat head!
Cotton and Twine boxes sound interesting. Sad about CSC nmm.
Hope you all have a good week.

Hi there.  Can someone with more brains than me help with a problem please.
I have 2 cross stitch kits of a Robin in a hand that I want to do for Christmas, both Robins are facing the same way of course and I'd like to do them as a mirror image but cannot for the life of me work out how to do it, if it's even possible.  Any help you can give would be appreciated.

welcome hanert, could you scan or photograph the chart then flip it and print it out? I use IrfanView to modify images like cropping, resizing, etc it super easy and free :) If you link to the kit i'll take a look for you.

    Hi everyone, and welcome hanert!
Hmmm well could you scan the chart onto your PC and then flip the chart to show the mirror image - would that work? Maybe someone else might have a better idea? Maybe post a photo of the chart so we can see how complicated it is xx
I did some of A Pair Tree last night whilst watching Family Fortunes. It's a funny show now Gino is hosting it. He does make me chuckle. I think the individual stockings/mittens will be fairly straightforward - there's only about 12 colours for the whole chart. Unfortunately there is BABS though and a couple of embellishments. Still hoping to get this done and framed for Christmas 2020 :)

Thanks @nmm and @Coxy11. I do not have a scanner or even a photocopier! still in the dark ages I'm afraid, but my DS can get a copy done for me.  Hopefully I attach a link to the pattern.

Can you photograph the chart and I'll try to flip it - not sure you can get what you need from the finished photo?? Assume this is what you needed, but do let me know xx
