Wow nmm that looks fantastic. Love the colour combo.
We went to the New Forest for the weekend - no kids. Weather was dry, bright but chilly. Lovely part of the world but couldn't see myself living there iyswim? Only went into one craft type shop, which was a real jumble of card making, stitching and haberdashery. Looked like a charity shop from the outside. DH and I had to stay together as only 4 people allowed in at one time. He was thrilled as you can imagine.... Makes up for all the camping shops we went into over the weekend - 6 in total - as DH is off to Scotland on Thursday with his mates. They are roughing it under a tarpaulin in the back of beyond. Rather them than me. I will be visiting DD as it's her birthday on Thursday, so unless the uni goes into lockdown(…!) I will be there on Saturday to take her for lunch.
Must motor on with the blanket tonight and every night this week. Can't see me finishing it without a struggle. My back is agony atm. Think it was the extra firm mattress at the hotel. Nice to start off with, and a good night's sleep, but I'm used to our memory foam one. I'm hobbling around like an old biddy today and am having to pop the pain relief!!
Have a good day all,
Coxy xx

Nmm that looks amazing. I think that would have sent me batty! So sorry to hear about the back Coxy it sounds really painful. I’m sure you’ve tried all the usual. Hope you get to see DD this weekend. My DS was offered team leader position in another M & S store so it has worked out well for him.
Quick update on the sampler. Just got to stitch the first name, complete the giraffe and then I’m on to the border which I quite enjoy stitching. It’s very meditative! Could be in with a chance of finishing before October.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Charly27, that looks wonderful, i love when the end is in sight but i get side tracked looking at what to do next.
Coxy, i prescribe rest and crochet till you're better
The puzzle ball was hard for me to put together not sure how a baby will take it apart, most likely just chew on it, haha.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:2 -
Oh Charly27 that looks fab. I too love it when the end is near and agree with you that it's very therapeutic.
I am looking forward to getting back to A Pair Tree once the blanket is finished. Talking of which, I managed 2 (4) rows last night - only 11 (22) to go plus 4 times around the border.... It will be a sprint to the finish !! I am meeting DSis this evening as she borrowed DHs camping stove and he needs it for Thursday. Don't expect to crochet tonight, so will be going for it tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. DH away early doors Thursday morning, so I can start straight after tea and can be as unsociable as I like lol!
Back still playing up - haven't had this issue for a good long while (pregnancy related) and I've been doing my usual daily stretches plus some pilates to help the issue. Couldn't even bend to unload the dishwasher earlier - just ridiculous!
Hope you all have a great day,
Coxy xx

Hi gang!
Another 7 rows completed - 2 (4) on Tuesday and a whopping 5 (10) last night. I got to work straight after dinner and kept going until about 10pm. DH went to bed early (in DDs room) as he got up at 4am to go camping with his mates. Only 4 rows to go, then 4 times around the border. Oh and sewing in the ends prior to the border.....grrrr. Bestie just messaged asking if we can facetime later - I will need to keep it short - normally at least an hour, but I have to get the blanket done. DSis dropped a bombshell on Tuesday saying hadn't Dmum made DD a blanket and wrapped it for her birthday which is today. I think my face said it all. I don't think the gift bag Dmum gave DD had a heavy dense package but I wouldn't put it past her to do something like that. She is a bit odd!
Just DS2 and I for the next 5 days as DS1 has gone away with his GF. It's very quiet here but I'm not complaining!
Does anyone subscribe to the Cotton & Twine boxes that Historical Sampler Company do? It's a monthly box with a project plus treats. I like the look of the October box as it's a Christmas theme. Think they are £22.99 plus P&P.
Have a good day all,

Noooo nmm, not CSC!? That was a favourite of mine as had a good variety of little projects. I am guilty of not supporting them better though - only used to get the 5 issues for £5 offers every now and again. Like they say "use it or lose it" and I'm not surprised. Forgot to say I'm on Face ache now (for my postponed JoGLE walk) if you want to hook up?
Breaking news...... I have finished the rows and AND(!) have sewn in the ends (all 200 of them....) Was up late last night and got straight back on it this morning as want to save tonight for the border x 4. It will be another late night I expect. DS2 and I have already planned to get a sneaky takeaway delivered as we're the only ones here, so another half hour or so saved not having to cook - every little helps!
Looks like it will be a wet day tomorrow in Brighton. Funnily enough, the last time I was in Brighton for a practice walk with DSis it was exactly the same - Great British seaside ha!
Have a good day all,
