Morning all!
Charly27 - hurrah for the Cotton & Twine subscription. I might buy the odd box, not sure I would be able to keep up with a monthly subscription lol! Hope work has settled down.
I have done some of the BABS on A Pair Tree. As the stockings and mittens are standalone items, it's slightly easier than a fully covered design. No stitching lately - out both Saturday and Sunday, had a colleagues leaving do over Teams last night then had to eat, then food shop! It's all go.
Will try to finish work on time today so I can get stuck in. We have having an easy tea too which helps on timing!
In money saving news(!) I gifted a friend some more card making bits yesterday. It was her birthday, so as I was posting her card I also shoved some stickers and backing papers through the letterbox. Stash is getting sorted slowly.
Hope you're all going well and keeping safe.

Hi Coxy I will only do month by month! I loved the October One.
With the help of my DH I have stitched ‘the name’ Yeah. I’m now working on the border.Just over a week before I have some annual leave although who knows? Will we have a two week circuit break? In which case all my trainees will be off.Hope it all goes well well with you. Anyone in tier 3? My little sis in Newcastle, my middle sis in Blackpool and my mum in North Wales. 😠‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. I live in West Cumbria, the postcode checker says Alert Level Medium.
To follow on from last post i managed to complete 2 projects. 20 purple & red poppies for a community project, they are to be attached to a dress for a window display. The baby blanket in the fluffy soft wool it's just 30 double crochet rows, then a single crochet border finished with a reverse single crochet edging (sorry should've took a better photo)
I've also started on the border of the Dahlia blanket, it WILL be finished this weekend at the latest.

Loving the poppies nmm - are the purple ones for the animals killed in action (or did I make that up?). Good luck with the dahlia blanket - ta dah photos please once it's done
Charly27 - I too loved the October C&T box. I am resisting buying anything else this side of Christmas though! Must use up some stash first.
We are in a London Borough so we are now in Tier 2. Feels like groundhog day. Part of me thinks maybe a complete lockdown again would be the right course of action, but it doesn't affect my work, income, immediate family etc., so feel selfish and bad for thinking that! We had planned to see DMum tomorrow - now can't go in her house or in a cafe, so will be wearing thermals and taking our lunch al fresco - the risk of catching normal flu aged 78 is probably higher than C-19!
In crafting news I managed to sew some more mittens last night - will post a pic in a short while. It's an A4 sized piece, so thinking I might frame this one myself - that is my money saving idea for today folks!
Stay safe and well all.

Coxy, you are correct its for the animals KIA, my friend made 50 red ones, puts me to shame. Poundland do a good range of standard size photo frames up to A3 which is a bargain, quite a few of mine are in them. Mittens coming along nicely, found my bauble wreath must get it framed for Christmas this year.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0

Loving the poppies and the baby blanket nmm. You’re cracking on with the pair tree Coxy. Not much stitching done this week with a couple of after work meetings. I will pick it up this weekend. I have planted out one tray of trailing pansies, some alium bulbs and two delphiniums. DH and I also went for a lovely long walk with the dogs this morning. We got a little damp as we’d left the waterproofs in the car but it was quite fine and so beautifully peaceful. We were out for about an hour and I finished a book this morning.
We’re in a medium risk area for C-19 in Norfolk but if we do go into lockdown it won’t make much difference to mine or DH work.Very lucky to be able to do most of our work remotely. Happy weekend. I will post update tomorrow.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Morning all,
I hope you had a good weekend. We visited my Mum and took her out for a mooch around a local (to her) market town. Got some lovely planted pots on the garden nursery stall, which are now pride of place on our front steps. Sunday we tidied up the garden and did all the housework - money saving tip as don't have a cleaner
In crafting news, I have made some more progress on A Pair Tree. Can honestly say, the fabric is a joy to stich on. If only I could remember where I purchased it, I would definitely get it again!
Great that you could get out in the garden Charly27. Lots of leaves down in ours, but no point raking just yet. Normally end up doing 3 rounds of raking each year as there are so many!
Have a good day all,
Coxy xx

Wow wow wow nmm. The dahlia blanket trumps the other items on the list surely?Makes my update pale in comparison. Still unsure whether to axe the giraffes 🦒‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler.
