Coxy, the gold frame is perfect for A Pair Tree, great charity shop find and i love your other framed piece. Almost finished the 50th card, then it's back to The Junction and christmas cards will need thinking about too.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:1

Hi Coxy both of those projects look great. I think A Pair Tree looks great in the gold frame, very festive. I love the scissor cradle. Wonder when we’ll get to a stitching show again? I’m stitching away. My hands and wrists were really aching until I had the common sense to turn my cross stitch on its side and put it in the frame that way! I was stitching the left hand side border and top left of the frame. Hope you enjoy some time with DD Coxy. I’ve not pressed pay on the map yet. Must finish first!

Loving your discipline Charly27 - no buying until you've finished your current piece. If only I had practiced that in the past lol.
I picked DD up on Wednesday and she is happy to have a break and be home for a bit. She is planning to see some friends today and grandparents tomorrow. We will take her back on Sunday.
I have a day to myself tomorrow, so will carry on with the cross stitching part of the scissor cradle. I went to Knit and Knatter on Wednesday and saw my buddies. Quite hard to communicate to partially deaf 70+ year olds when all of us are wearing masks, but did cause some amusement.
A few years ago, the churches in my town organised a Christmas angel yarn bomb, where little knitted angels were left on walls, park benches, road signs etc. They had a little label around their neck with 'peace' 'joy' 'love' on, and a message of Christmas greetings from the churches. I found the pattern the other day when I was tidying up, so I've decided to knit 50 of them, and will leave them on my garden wall on Christmas Eve or the day before (weather dependent) with a message to take one, but please leave a donation of £1 for my JoGLE fund in an honesty box. There's a whatsapp group for my road with around 45 neighbours on it, most of whom have children, so I'm hoping they will go for this idea. Will use up some of my odds and ends of wool too, so hopefully a win win. So far I've knitted 3 angels, one with a size 4 needle and the other two with a 3 1/4 which I prefer.
Not great photos, but the white and navy have sparkle running through them. Will also do some in other colours with white band and wings. They don't take long to knit up thankfully.
Hope you all have a good day. I'm off to the shoe menders and dry cleaners today, to winter proof my favourite boots and coat. Will pop to the charity shops for a mooch whilst I'm out too
