  • Ellie P that looks amazing.
Nmm sorry to hear about the seizures- it’s distressing in people but even more so in dogs as you can’t explain anything to them. Virtual hugs ((xx)).

As some of you may know from FB, we had Tikaani our epileptic dog PTS on Monday, she had fought the horrible disease for over 8 years :( Started a small project to take my mind off things, the house is very quiet.

Coxy, thinking of you, hope you are ok i've just realised what date it was  <3

  • nmm I'm so sorry about your dog. It's horrible when you loose a member of the family but well done for being brave and doing what was right for her.

    Hi everyone,
Sorry for the radio silence - not a great week, but looks like I'm not the only one.
nmm - as I said on FB - I'm so sorry for the loss of your gorgeous Tikaani. It's never an easy decision, but rather give our beloved pets a peaceful ending than watch them suffer. They are so much a part of our lives and the sorrow can never be underestimated. Hoping your small project is helping xx
My week was pretty rubbish. DDad now in an induced coma and being intubated - for the last 8 days. They are going to try to bring him round today, so just waiting for news, although they are 2 hours ahead and I haven't heard anything yet.... Yesterday was DNephew's anniversary. For those that don't know, he took his life 4 years ago which completely devastated our family. He was just 21. To make it a 'things come in threes' kind of week - DH slipped down the stairs and has cracked his coccyx. You really couldn't make it up.
In crafting news (because we need to keep to topic!), I have now completed 31 angels and just have the wings to knit for number 32. They are a variety of colours and I'm bagging them up in 10s to quarantine them before distribution. Aiming to make 50 from my wool stash - and don't think it'll even make a dent :D
I still need to finished the scissor cradle for DMum - not much cross stitch left to do but the making up will take some time and patience, neither of which comes naturally to me!
I think there's only a few of us for the card exchange - me, nmm, Charly27, and elliep_2. If I've got that wrong then please do shout.
Will be in touch with details of who to send to shortly. In the meantime, shall we aim to send on Friday 4 December? Hopefully that will be enough time to make something up, fits in with lockdown easing(?) and Christmas posting dates. Let me know if that's an issue for you.
    Have a good evening all,
    Coxy xx

Oh Coxy, what an awful week you've had, i hope this week brings better news. 4th December is good for me, my xmas aperture cards arrived today so i'll find a design that fits :)

My OH has not been well since tikaani passed i think the stress is not helping. In motorhome news, we decided to cancel the purchase as the one we chose was purely for the dog, sounds mad but it had a low step, big lounge space and was pretty old so didn't care if she trashed it. It doesn't feel right at all, we're honestly thinking about packing up and moving abroad. Wil keep you posted on the future plans.

    Hi folks,
DDad is now awake but still has the tube in which must be awful. They are hoping to take it out today. It's horrible to think of him being uncomfortable and confused, so we are hoping once the tube is out, we will be able to speak with him.
nmm - sorry to hear that OH hasn't been well. Good call on the motorhome cancellation - it's never easy to make such a big decision, and especially during a time of stress. Things will work out - give it time hon xx
In crafting news, I have now completed 34 angels and just have the wings to knit for number 35. We had a family zoom call last night, so only got to my knitting during IACGMOOH and I was also drinking wine...… feeling that today tho :(
In terms of the card exchange, I will PM you all today to say who to send yours to, so look out for a message from me :)
    Have a good day folks
    Coxy xx

Dear Coxy what an awful time you’re having. I hope your DDad has the tubes out now and is beginning the long road to recovery. Nmm things don’t sound good for you and your OH either. I’m sorry you decided to cancel the motor home but sounds as though it was the right, hard decision for you. Virtual hugs ((())) to you and your OH.
No stitching or crafting completed last night but I have been stitching up the Cotton and Twine subscription box and I’m about half way up the Christmas tree now. I’m enjoying stitching it and this one’s for me. It’s easy to feel you’re behind when you like the FB group but it’s worth it for the inspiration. The little changes people make are fascinating and I’ve learnt a bit on the way. I don’t share much, bit of a lurker.
I will decide on a design for the card today and get started on that. Have a good weekend all.
