Thank you for your kind comments. Scorching 🥵 here in Norfolk as well and I’ve just finished a three hour Skype meeting upstairs. I’m melting.
Took the evening off cross stitch and made a couple of masks 😷. If it increases my chances of being able to do certain things then it’s worth it. I’ll take a photo later.

Morning lovelies, how are you doing?
Latest update on PL San Francisco:I also had a go at making a mask using some fat quarters from my stash. It’s okay... does the job and is washable. Will make a few more now I’ve worked out how to:Charly27 did you have a go at mask making too?
I’ve sustained a running injury so I’ve not been out since Monday. Hoping to get back out at the end of the week as I miss it! Other than that, not a lot happening here!
Have a good day all

Coxy, great progress on PLSF and the mask is great for your first attempt, love the fabric.
I'm currently making a card for my OH dad's birthday, its a simple VW campervan front, just the backstitching to do. His birthday is Friday, haha I leave everything to the last minute

That looks great nmm. Fingers crossed it arrives on time
I have been getting onwith PL San Francisco although had to frog some last night as counted wrongly whilst watching Gardeners World doh! I’ve made a decision to sort and sell some of my stash to contribute to my JoGLE fundraising. DSis and I had planned various fundraisers (quiz, race night, bring n buy etc) and all had to be cancelled. Have listed a load of mags and chart books on the bay of E and sold some already. Unfortunately I missed the Post office today so they will be sent off on Monday. Just gave my card making stash to a friend which has cleared some space too. I need to be realistic as to what time I have to do stuff plus if we end up moving I will need to cull my stock anyway.Bit rainy here today so I’m about to pick up the dune blanket. Slow and steady wins the race lol.Have a good evening all

Will your JoGLE go ahead later this year or is it postponed till next year now? I think I have enough fabric and charts to last 10 lifetimes, too many nice onesCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:2

Evening evening, Coxy and nmm. I love the San Francisco x stitch Coxy. It’s that quirky style and the colours I think. So frustrating when you miscount. I think my last post showed I’d completed the N and the O but I unpicked both of those as I’d started to stitch too far in. I’d already stitched the rectangular border so I had no choice. Done now though plus P to T.Love the little card for FIL nmm. Do you have a chart or just go free? I have a book that has quite a lot of design ideas in. Good idea to stitch something little for someone.
I might make a few more masks now I’ve also worked out how. I wasn’t really concentrating at first and when I turned it inside out I’d sewed the blinking elastic inside!!! Doh! It wouldn’t win sewing bee but it’ll do the job and cost me nothing.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things &Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. Hi, charly27, the mask is great, I got a black one off a friend and I looked like I was going to rob the place, yours looks way better
I generally search for free quick card designs, I do have loads of magazines stored digitally but I get distracted too easily.
ETA: The card arrived today so was late, but atleast he liked it

Hi all,
Lovely fabric for the mask Charly. I’m going to cut some more out today as will have the ironing board out (Sunday chore!).JoGLE going ahead next year nmm - probably June to August as want to avoid the midge season in Scotland. We are doing a short walk at the end of July, from Littlehampton to Eastbourne with two nights camping.I’ve now done 31/100 rows on the dune blanket. Might start sewing the ends in rather than leave them until the end.Have a good day all.Coxy xxCross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 20/25 Currently reading Finding Hildasaay by Christian Lewis3 -
One of our cushions had disintegrated. Unpicked the zip and sewed it into this dog fabric from my stash. Cross stitch progressing slowly. A rectangle and three of five butterflies stitched over weekend.
Wore my mask to church on Sunday. Must make some more as it did the job and I can chuck it in the washing machine.‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things &Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler.
