I've just started a switch to Avro. Let's see what happens.

Edit. Just received a request to set up my Avro account and have also received my Welcome Pack - all very slick.

I also decided to send Avro an email pointing out all the shenanigans we are experiencing and making Avro aware that BG might block my transfer request. I've given Avro chapter and verse, so hopefully they will be fore-armed.

Bear in mind that Avro don't work w/ends - so the switch request is all automated - and no-one will see the email until Monday at best (based on responses I've had to Avro emails, probably more likely Weds.):)

So I’m in the process of switching to avro ... they say I will be on board with them by 8th feb .. and the tariff is slightly cheaper than the breeze tariff .. fingers crossed

So sorry to hear of all the problems everyone is having, GB are just unbelievable, every time one of us contacts them we are all getting fed different stories.

JohnB47, I never got round to starting our transfer to Avro yesterday, not sure now whether to wait until next week or do it this weekend.

Fair enough. Just though I'd get things started.

I suspect it's not going to go smoothly though.

In regards to the post above apparently BG changed their minds and are letting the gas go through now, what a mad situation as yorkshire energy still believe it is rejected (which was BG's first response) although they want to chat with me.

Potentially you could be in a scenario of no gas from the 6th Feb in my case surely? All because of the above, I m tearing my hair out over this situation.

But yet again I have been given different answers of no it has been approved and we are withdrawing on the 6th october despite yorkshire energy not being there as my new supplier???- end result is I am phoning yorkshire energy monday and then BG as well this is a crazy scenario with BG not making their mind up and not communicating again.

Really regretting having Smart Meters fitted before Breeze went out of business. For week leading up to them ceasing trading they were becoming increasingly difficult to deal with. My Smart In-home Energy Monitor never worked, every time I questioned why they blamed the Smart Meter installation company?

The last Energy Statement I have received from Breeze was for 1 Oct to 1 Nov....despite providing meter readings on time and the Smart Meters appearing to provide automatic reading on time, no Statement of Energy Used has been provided for me since 1 Nov 19? Once Breeze ceased trading I have been unable to contact anyone at Breeze to query this issue?

Starting to doubt I will every receive a Final Statement of Energy Used by Breeze?

Just been told by British Gas that I can't Switch for 28 Days from 16 Jan 20? Despite already waiting 25 days from 22 Dec 19?

Don't understand how some ex Breeze Customers are able to Switch once their Account have been setup with British Gas?

It seems to depend on who you talk to at BG.

Have a look at post #235 by NINJA59 in which a BG agent directly contradicts what you (and many others) have been told.
