The quick sort of one of the kitchen cupboards didn’t end up in anything being binned/recycled/charity shop bagged however it is now much easier to see what I have. The baking bits are now on the same shelf (apart from some flour that is too tall to fit. The cans are now in rows of different types of food. I now have space in that cupboard.
A few items from other places have made it into the charity shop bag. One small coin purse, a jumper that I used to wear at work (we now have uniform jumpers) and a tea towel that I have never used.
Does anyone think that any charity shops would find bubble wrap useful? I have some and I can’t recycle it here.1 -
Many charity shops sell breakable wine glasses or bits and pieces of china so I would think any of them would welcome some bubble wrap for wrapping them up safely when they sell them.1

hi x
I have enabled my amaz0n account what a faff but means I can get selling.
I wondered if anyone could advise me I have some handmade vintage toys and dolls - beautifully made by my nanny - but I can't keep everything. Where would the best place to regime these? Ive looked on bay of e and they don't seem to sell although I could try I don't want to heartless
Anyway wishing you all good wishes xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.1 -

Nothing for me today. I half ate a chocolate bear that was in the fridge, but hardly worth saying it was anything else!

I was sooo knackered after the swimming with dolphins & a late dinner (+ a bit of a gippy tummy) that after seeing the Caribbean version of Village People singing YMCA we all went to bed
The dolphin experience was absolutely brilliant : We got to touch them, got kissed by them & the dolphins performed various tricks :T We also had a 5 minute speed boat ride & got exceedingly wet& there was a snorkel experience which both DSis & DH tried (I cannot cope with the mouth piece or the inability to see (had to remove my glasses) DH couldn’t breathe without drowning  However DSis had it sussed & saw the hammerhead shark, manta rays & eel fish. She thoroughly enjoyed herself : Got back & DH bought the photos & usb stick. Unfortunately they had missed a trick - no t-shirts or caps - very odd  One thing the roads are quite poor :rotfl: Back to the hotel - rather hungry as missed lunch
showered & changed popped into the buffet restaurant for a snack, pootledabout then off to Italian restaurant for dinner. DSis won
her dinner was 9.5/10, DH 7.5/10, mine 6/10. but we did have a lovely time (notwithstanding my gippy tummy)
Thursday has been gloriously sunny 😎 28c. DSis had a rough night - swollen feet & ankles but my tummy has settled down. Down to breakfast then DSis & I had our full body massage & sauna (just me) & hydrotherapy. A glorious 2 hours. DH went off to the beach. Have just had lunch - DSis has retired to her room & DH & I are in the wi-fi area drinking beer :rotfl:
So cheerleading :rotfl:

Basketcase, Absolutely you should count repurposed items as decluttering :T They are only clutter if they are NOT in use
You trendsetter newlywed :rotfl: I also never melt down candle bits to make new ones - not very environmentally friendly but to me it would be clutter until I actually had enough bitsWell Done on the weight loss :T I hope intended :T

Great work shangaijimmy :T Any day with one item out (even though RL intrudes) is a success :T. I did laugh - “scratching your decluttering itch” :rotfl:

Good work short-bird :T I have found that Stephen King books are either a pamphlet or War and Peace :rotfl:

Day 16
Very fiddly day today so no progress made. However in definance I threw away 2 of those annoying juice bottles of the kids that annoyingly leak. To be fair our kitchen must be responsible for 50% of the worlds plastic carp, and 2 juice bottles won't be missed!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......1 -
Lol thanks MrsSD........although today I felt I went a bit backwards. Was clearing a space in a wardrobe I don't use, and found the bin I've been looking for to add to the dog den.......filled with MORE of the ex's stuff!!:mad::mad: I'm so annoyed, I thought I'd extracted everything of his from the house now, so will be adding to the other piles in the shed etc
Over and out.......off on my hols now :j
