Evening.
Had some time to do a bit of a declutter today if only for stress relief.
I was so very lucky at Xmas receiving perfume, hair products, Bath and beauty bits, some new slippers, pair of pj's and a dressing gown. I also got a pair of jeans and they fit like a glove.
I have been very good and eaten only a few chocolates although a lot of sausage rolls!
Veg wise I only have 5 parsnips and a couple of handfuls of Brussels left so pleased I didn't over buy and this will easily go with Mondays beef, potatoes and carrots I have so that's a meal for another day.
Tomorrows lunch will possibly be ham toasties so that will probably finish that off.
I have some not very nice (liddle) waxed cheese to eat up but who knows we may just end up eating randomly what we feel like, when we feel like it.
Outs have been
1 big box,
3 lots of packaging (for sold items of coat, trainers, purse on Xmas day but do have to drop the parcels off tomorrow)
Bedside cabinet got cleared of all sorts of paper rubbish, receipts, old hand cream, elastic band, hair band, toothbrush head, old library card and keys I no longer need.
Used Wrapping paper, packaging and split gift bag from Xmas day.
I need to go back through the wardrobe to see if anything needs to go.

Happy Christmas Mrs SD and everyone else, I hope everyone managed to have a nice day despite any restrictions. We managed to have my parents come for the day as they are in our support bubble but no FIL as he is 200 miles away and not in a tier 4 area like us. Made sadder by the fact that it is his first Christmas without MIL but I think he has managed okay.
I'm sorry I've been away for a bit, taking on a second job to fill in some of the financial gap of DH's furlough, broke me as far as my ME is concerned and that combined with DS1, DD and DS2 out of school and nursery since the beginning of December due to postive Covid cases in their classes, has meant I've not been online very much at all.
I have managed to declutter a bit and send 1 bag to the fabric recycling and 1 to the shoe recycling and a bag for the charity shop (although it is still in the back of my car as they are closed again). We have a new local free group on Facebook and that has spurred me on to declutter a bit more as it is so easy to get rid of, so I've managed to get shot of (and to a good home) 1 bag of school skirts and trousers, 1 bag of school sweatshirts and cardigans, 1 bag of Christmas jumpers, 3 school coats, 4 kallax boxes sorted of kids things and 2 bags gone, 1 bag of kids games and 1 bag of kids books.
I've got some bits back via the free site but the stuff out significantly outweighs the stuff in and some of it has been used for the kids Christmas presents, so I've decluttered less money as a result.
This brings me to 45 bags this year, which is short of the 52 but I'm happy with how much I have got rid of !!!
Looking forward to the 2021 group !!

Oh dear Nicnak ☹️ Good job decluttering is your 2021 hobby 😉
Good work TC77 👏 Due to Lockdowns - Any cs bag that you start filling from now counts as the start of your 2021 decluttering - might I suggest you seal the bag. I would count the items immediately plus when the bag is delivered you add ONE to your totals for each bag dropped off. That will be your incentive to drop off cs bags at the earliest opportunity 😉 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way for reaching 2500 👏 A perfect number to stop counting in 2020 & start counting for 2021 😉🥳You are welcome EnergyShifter 🙂 Your Christmas Day sounded lovely. Keep up the good decluttering work 👏 I see you are keeping up 👏
General Grant, as long as you stopped clutter coming in - you can count 2020 as a successful decluttering year 👍 Will you be joining us aboard the 2021 Charabanc/s? A second bite at the cherry 😉
Hope you had a great Christmas rtandon27 🙂

So pleased you had a lovely Christmas Day StickyTheStickInsect 🙂 You have done some excellent decluttering in 2020 especially given the extra obstacles placed in your path 👏 45 bags out of 52 is brilliant 🥳 One advantage of not posting is that you are ending the year with another Gold Star ⭐️ - for 39 bags out 👍 I believe that makes Five Gold Stars for you & One for your DH.MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️🏅

Evening folks, just trying to get to the end of the year, totally lost the plot and the count!
Worked most of last week, plus extra, 5am get ups, midnight bedtimes, totally cream-crackered and in debt with my spoons!!
However, I have managed to delcutter...- DS' old bunk bed to the friend of a friend - someone without anything - plus 4-6 sets of bedding. Also sold old xbox 360 for £40.
- 4 manky old mattresses to the tip (from bunk bed).
- 5 assorted gift bags with presents in to family (from stash, haven't needed to buy for years!).
- Some tiny glass Christmas decs of my mum's to my nephew and his wife, bit kitsch but cute, and a reminder of her for nephew.
- 6 baby blankets from youngest DS/DD (now 13 & 11!) to eldest DD for her new baby due next March.
Not too bad actually!
No waste at all fromChristmas lunch - just enough to eat, remains of the meat (chicken & duck) will go into soup tomorrow. Quite a few of the gifts we received were edible/drinkable, so nothing to keep once consumed. Sent cash electronically to my sister's children in US, so no postage costs and they can choose what they like - much easier all round and I'm not contributing to wastage over the pond!
The next couple of days will be having a good think/plan about 2021 all round and using some new notebooks I've had for a while to record ideas/goals etc. 2021 is going to be more of a year for a few of the things I want to do for myself - as opposed to the decades of stuff I've done for everyone else! Not going on strike, but I need to make headspace for me, so decluttering our possessions will help greatly!

Thanks for my gold start Mrs SD. Not going to count but few things which make up for those already counted in CS bag. Other things not yet out will be for new year.
Dd2 broke glass the other day, I broke glass jar today. Decluttered chocolate and other food. Notepad and few other things to dd1.
Cheapskate - love you giving decorations to your nephew and encouraging me to look out some of my mum's things for my cousin or offer to DDs rather than keep for me !!10
