Well done everyone in reaching targets but even one thing out is an achievement.

More cardboard and packaging into the recycling and 2 mugs into the cs bag. A mini decorated xmas tree decluttered temporarily to the cemetery, we'll collect it in the new year. This is it's second year ( very MSE ) hopefully it will be ok for xmas 2021 too, it's a real one so it can live in a pot on the patio til then minus it's baubles which will be reused too.We have a mice problem in DH's shed and sadly we have had to dispatch some of them. I have pictures in my head of sorrowful mice sitting around their xmas tree under the floor boards
I wish we didn't have to do it but otherwise we would be overrun and the local cats are not doing their job, too well fed probably...... however it doesn't stop them chasing the birds
Money out from the bank account for car taxFeel a bit peeved this year as the car has stood idle for most of the year, but on the plus side very little has been spent on fuel and holidays.
Hope everyone is well, hugs a plenty if not.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -
1842 more shredding done
1843 shower gel sample used up
1844 packaging recycled.
1845 bits of tinsel binned
1846-1847 a couple of broken baubles
I think that's it for today.
The house is decorated and I'm feeling christmassy

Thank you Mrs SD for my gold star - I should have kept count, always cheers me up to think about them all and how far I've come - definitely wouldn't have done so much without your cheerleading and fellow declutterers.
I'm not going to set a new target - taking your advice but counting out of interest

Wow - four gold stars!!! Thank you Mrs Salad Dodger! x
It really is because of this encouraging thread that we have been motivated to clear out so much stuff, and we still have plenty more to get rid of.
Thank you everyone!9 -
1. WRITE/USE DECLUTTERING & CLEANING “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. JUST DO ONE THING (courtesy of bit_by_bit)Thursday has been a dark, dreary & chilly day ☹️ DSis has spent the entire day in her room apart from drinks runs & coming down for her dinner. DH has done his usual Thursday run to MrS. He also made the mirepoix for the hm soup. Soup is now made & smells lovely. Three days lunches 👏I missed seeing the Recycling chaps - looks likely they will get their Christmas boxes late ☹️Day 4 = phoned friend to wish her happy birthday 🎂 She was 50 today which means I have known her for 32 years 😱 Where has the time gone? Lots of reminiscing & we were chatting for 40 minutes 🙂; cleared the dining room table ready for that ‘celebration’ next week 😉 (Most items put away properly i.e. in their permanent homes); put up 4 lines of string & hung up the Christmas cards; more knitting. My friend called back to tell me off 😉 - she had just received her flowers & chocolates 🙂 An excellent turnaround by the florist as the order was placed about 4 p.m. yesterday 👏👏
Dinner was bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes & beans.2370 - 2376 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, paper packaging, glass jar, 2 newspapers, cardboard box - Recycled
2377 Kitchen detritus in a coffee tin - Binned
Nicnak, that is very generous 😇
Good work villagelife 👏 You are so right - even one item out is a success 🙂 Do you think Santa will bring you everything or should that be anything you want 😉 now that you have decorated 😉
Great work nannywindow 👏 This is the time of year when cardboard & packaging seems to breed like rabbits 😂 Very MSE re the mini XMas tree - I hope it lasts for at least 2 more years 🙂. Shame about the mice in your DH’s shed - but you have probably despatched them more humanely than the cats do. Quote “I have pictures in my head of sorrowful mice sitting around their xmas tree under the floor boards“ I would like to add to that, their conversation is as follows:- Mickey “where on earth is Monty, he should have been back with the cheese & biscuits hours ago”, Minnie “he obviously got caught in the new lockdown” , Jerry “well at least we know that he didn’t get caught by Tom - he’s always too busy terrorising the birds”
Glad you have perked up bit_by_bit 🙂 As you say 2020 is almost done 🥳 Well done on the knitted presents 👏Great work TC77 👏 No need to keep count - I make a note of all the Gold Stars I have awarded - you have earned EIGHT Gold Stars 👏👏 all thoroughly deserved.
You are very welcome tiddles 🙂 thoroughly deserved. Hopefully we can all cheer each other on next year as well 🙂 I note you have already set your target for 2021 👏The ‘2021 Mission Declutter and Clean’ thread already has quite a few aboard the Decluttering Charabanc & I am hoping that we will eventually have a fleet 😆MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️🏅

Another eBay item posted yesterday. That is my last of this side of Christmas. The post office queue is usually out if the door, but this time I was the only one in.
Kitchen decluttering starts next week. Will do a drawer at a time. Expecting to end the year with a fair few bits removed and start the year the same. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x11
