Wow thank you so much for the star, very pleased with it
Not sure what I will tackle today but have washing to sort and cleaning to do. Hopefully if I muster up the energy to do this first the 3 may appear from that.
Thank you for such a warm welcome.

1026-1027: 2 books to the charity shop bag. Well, not so much a bag, more a heap...
1028-1029: 2 bags of assorted rubbish out
1030-1031: sponge scourers retired
1032-1035: 4 items from fridge gone off
1036-1037: 2 recordings deleted so more space on the additional hard drive
1038-1039: the usual deletion and unsubscribe session from email folders.
Hope all are well!

Hi all, been having some difficult times yet again, so not much decluttering has happened, I can't see me getting time to reach the target again this year! However I did discover just over 100 magazines and newspapers I was randomly storing lol - so 100 left the house! Along with 6 boxes, an old mat and a the ex's kids' science kit that was barely used and got donated to a friend's kid lol!!738/2020Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. 1. WRITE/USE DECLUTTERING & CLEANING “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. JUST DO ONE THING (courtesy of bit_by_bit)
Tuesday was a lovely, bright, sunny day & quite mild.My first task of the day was to walk to the P.O. & post birthday cards & financial letters. Being very MSE I didn’t take any cash so no spending 😆
In keeping with DH’s & my decision to have a daily active spell - today was 45 minutes for DH & 60 minutes for me 🙂 After over 15 years of “temporary” curtains in our bedroom 😱 we finally replaced them 🥳 DH took down the old curtains, poles & fixings & then accurately measured up for the new metal poles, put everything up & the curtains are beautiful ☺️ - again, shame about the absolute need to decorate 😔 I washed the bedroom window frames, windows & windowsill - we can see outside now 😉 DH & I rotated the mattress having stripped the bed. Two loads of washing done (bedding) with the 1st load being partially line dried. Tumble dried & bed remade - still using the summer duvet 🙂 I also scrubbed a section of the bedroom wall & DH taped off into a grid - we have 6 paint tester pots to decide on a colour - ashamed to say the tester pots have been here for over 2 years 😔 DH & I are master & mistress of procrastination 😉 or should that be laziness 😉 I was the gopher again - the curtains will be washed & repurposed, the finials are in the wood store for use in the chiminea & the wooden poles are in the shed for use in the garden. As DH was on a roll he cleared the gutter above the garage 👏
Dinner was the 2nd half of Monday night’s takeaways.
What a difference a day makes - Wednesday is dark, dreary & damp with a noticeable chill in the air ☹️ Both sets of old curtains are chugging away in the wm & the kettle is currently descaling.Yesterday’s numbers:2185 - 2191 Plastic (curtain pole) packaging, drinks cans, cardboard packaging, kitchen recycling, office recycling, 2 plastic takeaway boxes & lids - Recycled
2192 - 2194 Repurposed curtains, curtain poles & finials
2195 Ancient non working clock radio/CD player finally put into Tip bag 🙄2196 - 2199 Kitchen detritus, DSis bedroom detritus, office detritus, plastic packaging - Binned
Great work moneyonmymindsam 👏 Your enthusiasm is an inspiration to me 🙂👏
Excellent work short_bird 👏Wow 🤩 greent - how marvellous that you & your DD are doing so much - not only decluttering but cleaning 👏 Congratulations to your DD for finishing her Masters 👏 Being cheeky now 😉 when you finish your home how about you & your DD popping round to mine 😉 - I can provide tea/coffee & hm biscuits/cake & even hm bread & hm chutney 😆 Only joking but you & your DD are also inspirational 👏 So much so that two Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ are on their way - one each 👏Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time savvy ☹️ I am officially amending your target 😉 Your new target is 850. So 112 items between now and the 31st December - 4 items a day will see you safely to your target 😉 Your new target means that I owe you TWO Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ which are on their way 😉 Can you find a stack of books that you can release to the wider world 🤞👏Kettle is now descaled & the curtains are now being tumble dried. I am sat down with a coffee watching an episode of Prodigal Son before knuckling down to some work tbd.See you all later my fellow declutterers 👋MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🏅

Daily clean and all washing done. At one point I did think shoot me as I crawled round and did all the skirting boards. Anyway everything is really looking fabulous.
I can make a list of what can go in the future - I've just got to give plus one a little time to catch up with me.
Put all my jewellery and watches in nice boxes and put away.
1.pair of washed trainers (for charity)
2.hot water bottle for the charity bag.
3.5 old not working pens in the bin.
Three parcels out today so 1 more than planned.
Going to try and reorganise my clothes to make up outfits if I get chance later.
So I updated my wardrobe and I have a few extras but I worked on a module capsule so 1 jacket, 3 tops, and 2 bottoms this makes 18 different outfits so times this by 6 module sets, so only 36 bits of clothing... But I need to calculate the actual outfit combinations that amounts to, this is my pre-attempt at no buying any clothes next year!!

MrsSD I think you should award yourself a gold star for all the hard work you have done, especially in finally changing the curtains. I think most people are guilty of some level of procrastination, I'm one of themIn the cs bag a 2 in 1 magic writer, DGC now too old to use it and also a Christmas gift wrapping ribbon and bows set in black, I will never use that colour. Binned the contents from all the upstairs bins and 3 biros which no longer work. Used up some previously acquired xmas crafting stuff by making family cards ( MSE content ) sorted the craft leftovers and put it all away now I've finished. Put 2 buttons on the sleeves/cuffs of a blouse which I've been going to do for about 3 years
I'd only worn the blouse once as the sleeves drooped into everything, they did the mopping up as I went and soup was a definite no no
Removed the dust and detritus from the craft room. Dh has removed some planks of wood from my shed and is making shelves in his shed. Yea !! about time too
Now I will be able to get towards the back of the shed without having to do my mountain goat impersonation.
Stay safe and happy decluttering.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8 -
