4. JUST DO ONE THING (courtesy of bit_by_bit)Sunday was a dry, bright day & quite mild. DH spent most of the day watching the last three motorcycle races. He then did a bit of worm food zizzing. DSis spent most of the day in her room watching TV.
I watched TV, did 2 loads of washing & drying, relocated some note books, found the XMas cards 😉 I finished the last of the hm soup for lunch.
Dinner was boiled hg potatoes, garden peas from the freezer & pork medallions cooked in a mushroom & Marsala cream sauce. Delicious 😋 🤤 😋

Great work oldtractor 👏 It is one of the great clutter mysteries - why do we keep useless items? 😉
Nice to see you bit_by_bit 👋 I am taking care - either L*ms*p OR paracetamol but thank you for thinking of me 👏
At least the Plot Police spoke to you & didn’t just boot you off 😉 Hopefully your energy levels will pick up & the weather will be good in 2021 - is there anyone who can help you out for a share of the produce? Can I ask what you grow?
You have robbed yourself retiredinfrance - you are on 9/365 😉. As to the U.K. bank account, what a p.i.t.a. - I am especially annoyed for you that 40 years of loyalty doesn’t get rewarded 😡 You would think that the U.K. banks would set up contracts with French & Spanish banks, bearing in mind how many Brits live in France & Spain. However, I am very impressed that you are counting your blessings 👏
Great work EnergyShifter 👏 I have been very remiss 😔 - one Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way for passing 750 👏Brilliant work greent 👏 you have been busy 👏Good work TC77 👏 At least you will have warm feet 😉Quite depressing Nicnak 😉 Do you have a compost heap/bin for all your leaves?Great work Gem_gem 👏 So sorry to hear about all the health issues ☹️ but pleased that everyone seems to be OK. I so admire your resilience 🙂
Every item out is a bonus elsien 👏 so please do not feel downhearted (wagging finger emoji)MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🏅

Hello all,
Thought I'd come in to join you on your declutter challenge if I may. I have been decluttering for the last 11 months, but more recently due to death of my mum so when I finally moved in with OH and we had duplicates of a lot.
I am pretty minimal (OH not so much) well I do try to be. This month has seen 30 items out to ebay, I have a 10kg bag to go to charity with everything from books, Bed sets, tin openers to unworn shoes (!) when they open again.
Today I have parted with a dressing gown but 4 still remain in the house. Now that I've really paired a lot down I would like to stop buying toiletries and clothes. Other than that can't wait to get the relatives Xmas presents out the house.
Still have minimal items at mums but I think I will be on the clear out journey for a while.
Going to try to find 3 things in this house a day to go.
1.dressing gown
2. Insoles
3. Small old hairbrush
I am from a make do and mend upbringing and find it really hard to part with things that can be used again or repurposed into something else but I also feel overwhelmed by stuff so try to keep things on an even keel.
Hope I'm not doing the challenge wrong.
Brilliant thread by the way

I've sold a couple more things on fb, that netted me £27 total so I'm well chuffed. I'm saving for a big shop in the hope I can go to daughter's at xmas. Going to buy up Morrisons and have all the snacks and drinks I can carry. Also binned a big pile of cut up cardboard boxes for recycling which have been sitting by the back door and falling down all the time. Still working but they've given me a laptop and headset so I can do it from home; I think they'll give up the office and we'll be at home for good now actually. It's not too bad once I've got used to it but it gives me more time to look at things which need clearing out.Magnolia Stellata9

Monday has been a mainly bright but cold day. I woke up at 8:00 a.m & put on my fleecy dressing gown & went downstairs for a mug of tea & watched the last of the motorcycle races. Went back to bed an hour later for a couple more hours of sleep 😉
Spent half an hour sorting out financial paperwork including today’s post. Still have three ‘frogs’ to sort.
DH & I have (finally 😉) decided to have a daily active spell - today was 30 minutes for DH & 60 minutes for me 🙂 After over 20 years of “temporary” curtains in the living room 😱 we finally replaced them 🥳 We moved the sofa & table then DH took down the old curtains, poles & fixings - the curtains will be washed & used as coverings for the garden furniture, the finials are in the wood store for use in the chiminea & the wooden poles are in the shed for use in the garden. DH then accurately measured up for the new metal poles, put everything up & the curtains are beautiful ☺️ - shame about the absolute need to decorate 😔 DH then went out for a small sm shop as we needed a few bits. Whilst DH was out I washed the living room window frames, windows & windowsill - we can see outside now 😉 + washed down the outside of the fridge/freezer & the kitchen drawer fronts + the kitchen back door frame & glass.I also started the hoovering, polished the coffee table, rearranged the boxes of paperwork & moved everything back. DSis hoovered the rest of downstairs.Dinner was takeaway Chinese for DSis & Indian curries for DH & I. Expensive but always does 2 nights dinners 🙂

Yippee, a new member of our decluttering family 🥳 Welcome aboard the Decluttering Bandwagon, moneyonmymindsam 👋 So sorry to read about your mum 😕
You are doing an excellent job on decluttering & congratulations on having a plan in place - 3 items per day is eminently doable 🙂 I absolutely love that you are weighing your CS bags 👏 very reminiscent of another member of our decluttering family 😉
Please know that there is NO wrong way to do the Decluttering Challenge (wagging finger emoji - which is sadly no more ☹️) Each of us has our own method of decluttering - we each do what works for us. As an encouragement to continue on your journey one Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way. There is a wealth of experience & advice on this thread & also on previous years’ decluttering threads, but it sounds like you have it under control.Unfortunately my inner minimalist is overcome with my outer hoarder 😛
So welcome & enjoy 😊Great work stellata 👏 A bit sad that you might have to work from home permanently - I would miss the office camaraderie. How often do the council collect your green recycling bin, Nicnak? You are welcome EnergyShifter - you earned your gold star.
