I wish DD's school do this, but they don't. It would save so much going into the bin and help so many families.
It's lovely you can. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Mrs SD. Glad i wasnt the only one awake at 4am today!!! I was downstairs reading with a cuppa..
Leelad, did you know all shops who sells batteries, are required to have a recycle bin for them.
I havent posted anything lately, but have been reading posts everyday.
Ive decluttered the top drawer of two, of the filing cabinet....phew what a load of old paperwork, inc old work stuff, h &s, food safety, about 100 letters from hmrc from when my girls were at school, fighting a bill FROM THEM for apparently not given them info that eldest daughter had left school. I had telephone proof, took months, then i got my local MP involved. He helped to sort it out with the appropriate dept!! How very MSEof me to fight for our money!!😀 our blue bin is going to be rather full this week🤣🤣
We are now getting stuff ready for my daughter to use in her first purchased home, getting keys on monday. Im excited for her, but feeling bit sad for myself, i will miss her very much, esp in the evenings while hubby is upstairs watching tv and im downstairs watching what i want and no one to talk too....
Also sorted out 2 bags of clothes and a bag of rags, ready for either cs or container for recycling.
Still pulling lovely carrots and chard. Emptied last pot of potatoes this week, not many and not very big, but will be cooked to go in a salad. Garden fence going up monday, down one side. Water pipe leak fixed after a very big hole dug, new pipe went straight through house. Thank goodness we were covered by BG, dread to think how much that would have cost. I will be glad to get all my plants back in garden, dug a lot up as i didnt want them ruined by the men!!
Take care everyone.

Saturday has been another dry day but so cold 🥶. DH finished adding ingredients & stock to his soup & it cooked on a low heat for several hours. He is now responsible for taste testing 😉 DSis made a chocolate & coconut cake for DH’s birthday tomorrow. All I decluttered today was money ☹️ I went to sm to pick up a birthday card for DH + bought loads of bars of chocolate to send to friends & family in France + missing ingredients for dinner tomorrow - DH wants an HB sausage casserole 😉

Thank you MrsSD for my gold 🌟 it was a productive afternoon for me on the recycling front. Nicnak - hope you are able to set up a school uniform exchange. You would think that in this day and age, all schools would provide this facility. Garden_girl_2 - will look into being able to recycle batteries in shops. Cheers 🙂12
