2 more green waste bins filled ready for collection tomorrow and there is still more debris hidden in the shrubbery, it's the garden that keeps on givingMrsSD we haven't been out for our weekly treat of coffee and cake since March, so we have also saved some pennies.EnergyShifter Gentle hugs winging their way to you. I hope you feel a little better today about DS leaving for Uni, I was lucky that DD could stay at home and travel daily. However I bet he will have a wonderful adventure/time. So much for the red sky Sunday night 🙁 Monday was overcast & dreary all day 🙁 although the rain did hold off until about 8.00 p.m. 🙂 Soup is made, just needs zizzing & taste testing. I finished knitting a 2nd pair of hand warmers for DSis - a colour called Atlantis 🤷♀️ Finally started dealing with my paperwork 😉 didn’t realise there was quite so much ☹️ so have only done about a third of it 😔 Bacon sarnies for lunch.
DSis had lo pasta Bolognese for dinner, DH & I had the other portion of Bobotie (from one of our neighbours) with light & fluffy rice cooked by my DH (my last attempt was a lump of stodge 😱) & used up the last of the sweet sauce (Also from neighbour)Another day of not going out so very MSE 😉1852 - 1854 Kitchen recycling, 1” of paperwork, drinks cans - Recycled

Thanks Mrs SD. I have sold a bag of pottery to a friend. All le Creuset and Denby. She gave me a good chunk of cash and one bag has gone.
Managed to get two items online in the last day or two. The nights drawing in so I expect I will be a bit better then. Loads of stuff to sell.
I also finally recieved a cheque I have been waiting for and sent forms for more money to do with my sister's estate. Not long now and I can put probate in. Decluttering that weight off my mind will be fantastic.
Tidied up my potting shed which was an almighty mess. I am going to be planting all bulbs dug up from the front garden recent clearance in pots until I know what they are. I have given away 3 bags of plants but not counting these. I have split other perrenials and need to cut back some shrubs then the whole place will be winter ready

Hello.Out today a reasonably sized cardboard box from Am**on, think the normal " how big a box can I get away with" man must be off work !!Into recycling an unstoppable plastic bottle and DH's body spray tin. Also gone today will be the last of the mushrooms from the fridge, I think they've been breeding in there as we seem to have been eating them forever.Sadly MrsSD I didn't think of putting the treat money in a jar and neither did I think of putting my haircut money in, it probably would have been full by now. I've decided to grow my hair and embrace the grey, so I've saved myself many £££'snanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9

I've been coping better than I'd expected, I'm having the odd wobble but I'm mostly OK ...

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUETuesday was another overcast, dreary & rainy day ☹️ DH did a small sm shop - avoided the rain until half a mile from home & then got soaked 🙁 The hm soup was only lightly zizzed & was delicious 🤤 It had texture, spice & depth of flavour 🥳 shame I will never be able to replicate it 😉 Dinner was chicken fried in butter with mashed potato, mashed sweet potato with a dollop of coarse grain mustard, carrots & sweetcorn. Absolutely no leftovers.Didn’t get around to the paperwork 😔 but another no spend day for me 😉 Have knitted 1.25 hand warmers.
Yah, boo - I got the ‘update’ - seems to be no rhyme or reason.

I have been decluttering this morning. It's a lovely day here, sunny but a bit chilly.
I tidied my airing cupboard, my kitchen under sink cupboard, my toiletries drawers and my porch. The porch is tiny and has a little cupboard to one side and the cupboard shelf always gets cluttered as I put stuff down on there when I come home.
I threw away an old toothbrush, some pumice stones that were quite useless, some used up toiletries and put lots of packaging into the recycling. I got a blanket out of the airing cupboard and that will be put into the charity shop donation bag. I ripped the pages out of a journal to use as note paper and threw the outer case away.
The shelf in the porch had to be rearranged and I got a couple of seagrass boxes to store everything in. In one I have all my sunglasses, pedometer, hair brush and phone charger. Another box was used for face masks and hand sanitiser.
I don't think I got rid of anything from my kitchen, oh yes, my tea maker. I used it again recently and it keeps leaving black flecks at the bottom when you pour the tea into the cup. I've washed it several times but it keeps happening. Binned.
I've read that Autumn is a good season for clearing clutter even though people always think of Spring.2025 GOALS

Wednesday started bright & sunny or so my DH tells me 😉 Now very dark & dreary, breeze has picked up & it is threatening rain 😢Have had my first cuppa, put a new bag in the wheelie bin & sorted today’s post & lastly I have changed the water & deadheaded my anniversary flowers 💐 Two weeks old & still going strong - I still have more than half the blooms & foliage in the vase 👏 What has surprised me most is the glorious scent 🙂
Now another cuppa, then I will start on the paperwork 🤞unless I get distracted by some other task 😉

Wow you have been busy Wednesday2000 🤩 👏 Unfortunately I think This year has proved that every season is a good season for decluttering 🤔 However in more normal times I agree that spring cleaning/decluttering is all well & good but autumn cleaning/decluttering is just as good 👏 Because (I know - bad grammar 🙁) you have brought this to our attention one Gold Star ⭐️ is winging it’s way to you - you now have 3 👏
I will see you all later 😉 Just updating this 😉 Just sorted the recently purchased wool - 127 x 100g balls + 4 x 200g skeins 😱😱 Should keep me busy - scarves, hand warmers, maybe beanies & blanket squares & maybe even leg warmers. Not convinced I am up to or have the patience to knit socks 😔
Told you I would find an excuse not to start the paperwork decluttering 😔😉
