Hello everyone. I haven't been on here in ages, as in I can't even remember if I have been on this year at all
I'm not liking this new layout for a start
Hope everyone has been keeping well during this whole pandemic business. I know I have had my struggles from time to time.
One good thing that came out of me shielding for 4 months or so was the fact I was able to have a good old declutter and clear out of the house. Done some re-organising and DIY.
We're now on a 2 week "circuit-breaker" so schools are closed again, so I'm going to take the opportunity of being off work to have another run through of the house after being neglected for 7 weeks since returning to work
I'll start at the top of the house again and work my way down. But most important job to be done today is re-spray all doors windows etc with peppermint spray to keep the unwanted 8 legged friends out of the house
After that I'll sit back down here and read through the last few pages to to refresh and try and see how people are doing.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%8 -
Mrs SD yes, it is a shame about the rail card but I have to pay 3 years upfront to get the best deal: I'll do that when things are more settled and I stand a chance of booking something in the UK and the event actually happening‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Another week - where has the year gone 😉 Monday is Bright & sunny so DSis has a load in the wm. I went out to post letters & birthday cards. Took the opportunity to nip into the P.O. shop & buy a few bits. They were open all through the original lockdown & the way things are going I will probably need them again 🙁 Not particularly MSE but we do need to keep our smaller shops open.

Hi All,
Glad this lovely thread is still here and Mr SD is there cheerleading away through all the ups and downs.
Popping in to add 4 bags to my total which I dropped off at the CS today. I have sold a few pots and books on various sites.
All the best to those in the clutches of another lock down all though.
Edited to add..........I handed my letter in to retire in March next year. I have finally done it. YayWife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Ooh.. decluttering..
We do two big declutters a year, to kick off Spring and Autumn Clearing. Husband just took a car load to a couple of charity shops. This week, I'm going through the books. Last year, I managed to sell £40 worth to We Buy Books and give a box each to charity shop and my mother's church fete.
We created a home office space for The Husband at the weekend and that was another opportunity to jettison a few ornaments.( I have a bit of a charity shop book and ornament habit) so that it looks individual without being cluttered.8 -
