39/52 - a pair of boots freebie recycled! I've been meaning to do this for years but was always too nervous, social anxiety maybe but in current conditions I was able to leave them outside for collection and didn't need to meet anyone. Very chuffed!9

Long time, no post again!
I have been taking your advice Mrs Salad Dodger and making more time for myself. OH has been doing a couple of the phone calls on my behalf which has helped. Now working on next decluttering goal which is to finish the paperwork and clear out my desk by the end of November. I want the desk out of my home as I have its much smaller replacement already so there's no need to keep it any longer.
I love a Christmas tree up during December however haven't managed to have one for years due to lack of space and also energy to actually decorate it. With 2020 having been a difficult year for us all, I feel it's important to have the sparkly tinsel and lights that I so enjoy in my home this year as I'll not be eating out or going shopping at all so won't be able to enjoy the usual Christmas atmosphere. As I said to my DSis, we'll all have to create our own magic this year.
Scores on the doors for the past few weeks:-
17 items of paperwork out and 144 old emails deleted.

93 old torn sheet to CS for the animal bedding section
94 top to CS too warm for summer and too thin for winter
Decluttering is really saving me lots as I can see what I've spent money on and quite often like the top it was a " bargain". I now look through a pile on the shelves of the walk in dressing room every morning and assess each item.
I have repurposed long sleeve t-shirts as pyjamas tips and nightwear is now sorted. New elastic in a pair of trousers and I don't need to buy any for the next year or two.
I too have a CS habit, mainly books and ornaments, but as I give back the books I don't feel guilty. Also , let's face it, books are a real joy at any time but especially now. With Covid I don't pop in like I used to and the purse is not being decluttered as much.
I'm also decluttering the apples from our free - loads of them which should last until Christmas.I shall count them as
95 apples.

I have just looked at when i checked in last ....it was 3 Oct, where on earth has that time gone ?!
I have been decluttering quite a few bits.... started sorting out recipe, keep fit/health, gardening files, thrown loads into blue recycling bin. Then started on my 2 drawer filing cabinet, o crikey, dozens of letters about benefits, taxes etc etc. I filled an apple sized cardboard box for blue bin, in letters, leaflets, booklets etc., also shredder box also full of personal stuff to be done. Not finished yet!! Thats for another day..
Putting some bits away today in wardrobe top cupboard, found body lotions etc, so then sorted bathroom cupboards, threw old bottles out and put lotions in instead. Lots of empty bottles in bin, i save a few for short breaks away to decant shampoo etc, but did i really need half a carrier full, NO...so half have gone.
Carrier bag nearly full of odd bits for CS. Will wait to be full before getting rid.
About 20 used batteries also waiting to get rid of, dont know where they will go yet, may get ndn to take next time she goes to Al i.
D D still waiting for house to be finalised. Searches should have been done this week, why does it take so long...grrr. not that we want her to go, but will be 2 miles from work instead of a 45 min drive, esp in the winter, not a nice road. We will have a spare double bedroom and a big built in wardrobe to fill up, so we can have a good sort out of ours and the small bedroom, where everthing gets dumped at the moment, esp all the winter coats, sweatshirts, etc.,which are squashed in a little wardrobe.
Take care everyone. Keep safe

I've painfully taken apart a tv stand so it goes in the bin, and put of all things a trouser press in the car to go to the tip. It's been fixed to the side of my wardrobe since I moved in. Just have to fill the holes now.Magnolia Stellata9
