Thanks so much, Mrs SD ,totally unexpected joy this morning. I'm delighted , two gold stars. When I sit at the table with 3 or 4 small apples i will think of you and wish you well. We keep the big ones for muesli of just snacking. I also got several small bowls of blackberries earlier in as I strimmed the brambles.
You are right about credit for TC77 re the old bathroom fittings. We once held onto an old shower fitting for years, just in case!
This morning
96, 97,98 three French books to go to the book exchange.
Total 98/122.
Off to this morning 's pile.
Keep safe everyone!8 -

Retiredinfrance - I have a shower hose from about a decade ago so you're right if I let the old stuff out I will count. Been to help my dad and did a tip run for him, saw lots of things I could have taken but so much easier to sort out others things!
Brought back a small computer desk - going to put in extension where there is under floor heating to work in the winter as house is cold and won't have to heat whole house, also a small tv to replace the broken one in bedroom (not a good habit) Will get rid of the broken one. Nothing to add today. Hope everyone staying safe x9 -

Friday 3:00 a.m. I paid the milkman - Being MSE & COVID safe I have been overpaying & I am now £4.56 in credit 🙂
Saturday has been a mixed day weather-wise - some sun, some rain & not too cold. DH spent the morning & early afternoon watching MotoGP practice sessions then went to sm.
I did manage half an hour of paperwork (a minute dent ☹️), a bit of knitting & managed to find enough leftovers, bendy veg etc to concoct a soup. Has yet to be zizzed & taste tested. I am also trying to empty down one freezer so have taken out a batch of chilli for DH & I + pre-cooked fish pie mix for DSis.Dinner was baked pork chops, mashed potatoes, peas & multicoloured carrots.
1921 - 1930 Decluttered - kitchen recycling, 4 magazines, 3 newspapers, cardboard box, 0.5” paperwork into Recycling Wheelie Bin

Good to read how people are getting on , and reminds me that the decluttering can often be in spurts. Keen to find the impetus to part with more as still tend to have justin around too much.1940 - 42 old gift card and loyalty cut up and binned1943 car serviced and MOT'd and cleared minor rubbish ( more stuff in the house)been trying to reduce the amount of random notepads I use (have a stationary habit - one vintage book recycled and other papers 1944- 19451946 some filing9

Decluttered kitchen recycling into communal recycling bins
decluttered a bit more from my waist so have three more skirts that fit again now. A skirt that I can remove without unzipping has gone into the summer charity bag. Decluttered a skirt and a jumper into a new autumn winter charity bag. Decluttered two beige rain coats as quite frankly one isn’t waterproof and the one that is feels like wearing a plastic bag and gets sweaty. Neither are the Cornish waterproof breathable brand I now favour in raincoats so when I get to the point that my current raincoat is too big, I will just invest in another. Also decluttered a plastic storage basket, round so annoying, an unopened pack of flaxseed as I am honestly never going to make hair gel no matter how easy it looks, a couple of jars and pots that were save for this.A handbag that i thought was a good large size but just makes me carry more junk, so I’d rather use a rucksack also in the charity shop bag.So now have enough room in the bottom of my wardrobe to home both charity bags and one is nearly ready to be donated when I have a free Friday again.Have a pair of black boots that are a) too tight round the calves so can’t zip up and b) higher heel than I can now wear all day. But I loved them when they last fitted me.... so still debating those. Also have two pairs of ankle boots that I’m not fully convinced I like with a skirt, so would only wear occasionally with jeans (trainers being the first choice of course). Will wait and see when it gets to spring if I am going anywhere at all, and reassess.Must start doing crochet again and making a dent in the wool stash....working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?9 -
Not much been happening here - except we've all had real stinkers of colds and still have coughs. We had to call an ambulance for M-I-L (99) as she passed out on the bath lift and we needed help to lift her. This was just before the colds began - her blood pressure was very low and they wanted to take her to hospital, but as she signed a DNR in 2018 we persuaded them not to. Her heart is, apparently, as strong as an ox. She spent 4 days in bed and, apart from still coughing a lot, is much better. She says the coughing doesn't hurt, but it sounds like she smokes 60 a day.
Today I've been going through books and cds with a view to sending them to Ziffit - 26 items for £24.71 - it's not a lot, but it's something. I'm also going back to swimming this afternoon for the first time in 3 weeks (when I started with the cold). I've bought earplugs in the hope of not getting any more earache. Last Tuesday we went over to Birling Gap and after talking on the way over how glad we were not to be going in more than one shop a week (the farm shop) we both went in the National Trust shop and decluttered some money.
DH is busy going through drawers and drawers of old documents, letters and photos as one of our storage drawer sets fell to pieces on Thursday and rather than buy anything to replace it we're moving things around. There's correspondence from when Tony's grandfather died - 1952 - and a photo of his great-great-great grandfather and grandmother.
Stay safe, stay warm
