I neglected the paperwork - I promise I will sort today. Rather pleased I didn’t do it as our post was delivered at 7.00 p.m. 😱 yes you are reading that correctly 😉 My anniversary flowers from 30/9 are still going strong - 3 flower heads removed & some dried out foliage - even though the water is being topped up 🤔 Hm soup for lunch - DH & I. Made DSis a bacon sarnie. Dinner was pasta Bolognese with garlic bread from the freezer. DH scrubbed the water bowls & disinfected the bird feeders. DH & DSis dismantled the 2 garden chairs & DH will be sanding & Danish oiling them before we wrap them & store in the garden box. I did start knitting another pair of hand warmers 😉

Hi all,
Just checking in to catch up. An amazing amount of stuff has gone this month hasn't it.
I am sorry to hear of the difficulty with donations. I am lucky that my CS takes a limited amount each day and processes it as fast as possible. I hate turning people away with their bags and their frustration is clear. We take about 30 bags a day but we can't decline if someone turns up with 30 bags. Once that limit is reached, and it can by 10am, we have to turn others away.
Nothing decluttered this week but sorting though some stuff to photograph and sell today with the help of DH over the next rew days.

I didn’t wait around in the charity shop to be honest @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, there was no browsing done by me, though there were three browsers in there. But the bits I had were decent boots (from eBay but didn’t fit/were comfortable for me), bags and rain jackets and I am waaaay too lazy to sell them so wanted to donate them.
also, I only took one bag... but it was huge and fairly heavy! In case they would only accept one bag
yesterday:
two whisks binned as my new middle size one arrived - no metal so no chance of rust now
a bra with escaping metal that had been patched and only lasted another week, binned
Four summer tops and a skirt in the charity bag. I don’t want to be this size next summer and don’t really love the items, and the skirt is jersey and therefore unlikely to be flattering on my lumps and bumps!

Sunday has been mainly a bright sunny day & quite warm relatively speaking. DH & I finished the hm soup - to which I had added lo roast potatoes & the last slice of roast beef.Very MSE of me & very LFHW as well. Now have to work out what the next soup will be 😉 as I am running out of bits & bobs 😱
DH & I spent some time in the garden - I deadheaded the dahlia - it is the bright spot in the garden - the plant that keeps on giving as there is still one bud almost ready to flower 👏🙂 DH planted all our bulbs with me supervising 😉 - snowdrops, narcissi, tulips & replanted a couple of ‘unknown’ bulbs. The bird feeders that DH cleaned yesterday have been filled & re-hung. I still haven’t done my paperwork 😕 Couple of short conversations with neighbours.
Dinner will be minted lamb chops.

Everything helps TC77 👏 & when you are rundown & RL gets in the way it is even more impressive 👏 Hope you feel better soon - hugs on way 🤗
Great work Happy_Kitties 👏 500 here you come 😉
Thanks so much for the information about cs donations bit_by_bit 👏 Fingers crossed 🤞 that you earn lots of £££ from sales 🙂
Great work newlywed 👏 I see MK raised her head - putting unloved items in the cs bag 😉 You can join me in the ‘Too Lazy to Sell Club’ - I cannot be doing with all the hassle 😉
Think of the fun you will have next summer - lighter & fitter (saving £££ on food 😉) & then browsing in cs for a new to you wardrobe 🙂👏 - MSE all the way.

What an emotional day - it was finally DS' time to go off to Uni. His Dad took him up so I just had to hold myself together enough to wave him off - then had a complete meltdown. I spent the day pottering, tidying, decluttering & taking to my bed whenever I felt overwhelmed.. I have just poured myself a large G&T and I think I will be having a really early night.
Mrs SD - I didn't see that interview. I really, really hope that the Unis don't get locked down - the thought of him not getting back for Xmas is awful...

The minted lamb steaks were delicious 🤤 I served with mashed potato, mashed sweet potato, roasted tomatoes, peas & sprouts chopped fine & cooked in the bacon fat with a squirt of maple syrup - DH & I were in seventh heaven. There was a glorious sunset so I am hopeful of another nice day tomorrow. Washing up is done but still haven’t started my paperwork 😔 DSis & I were very pleased with the winner of BGT - thoroughly deserved 👏. I have saved £££ today by not going out & making full use of food already in stock 😉

Hugs to you EnergyShifter 🤗 🤗 It was an article I read in the Evening Standard - so hopefully it was just scaremongering 🤞. Phew indeed - that was an excellent amount of decluttering 👏 Just a thought, does your DS have hollow legs? If so you can save some £££ on your shopping bills & put towards Christmas food to spoil him when he comes home for the holidays 🙂
