Short_bird love the batman knickers. Knew I'd got to middle age when I started choosing 'polo neck knickers' as we used to call my mum's as a kid.

The only thing I did was descale the kettle & the mini water fountain. Dinner was sausages, mash & plum tomatoes - real comfort food.

I got excited this morning when a cs bag popped through the letterbox as I have a black bag full and ready to roll. Joy turned to disappointment as they only take clothes and I've got a bag of toys
Note to self - get on with sorting out the clothes and swapping the summer for winter stuff, I'm sure there are some items that can go out.
Ready for the cs more toys yesterday ...... lots of cars this time as neither DGC want to bother with them. I have re-purposed the cars chest and filled it with bags of bread flour ready for the winter ( I bought a large sack).Recycled the outer cardboard packaging and brown paper from a birthday present ready for the DGD.Binned 2 pairs of DH's Sunday socks. My material stash and trimmings are reducing too as I'm back to making Barbie a winter wardrobe, 4 dresses so far made for the DGD. I made 2 tube dresses out of a couple of my odd socks and binned the excess material. Makes you wonder where all the other odd socks go !Hope everyone is well, hugs if not, my hug bucket is always full.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
Carried a very large bag of stuff to the charity shop. They only take donations on Fridays (and are my nearest cs). It contained two pairs of boots, two pairs of shoes, a handbag, two rain jackets, some skirts and tops and a smart jacket. I wouldn’t say I walked the 25 minutes there, more like staggered with gritted teeth and red face! She was so grateful for the donation even though there was already a large pile of bags in the changing room they are using. I am so grateful it’s out of my home! The next bag is already starting to fill, with a more summery theme though so will save those for another time and add to them as clothes hopefully become too big.Although if we do have more restrictions through winter then I might think about donating my winter coats that I will barely be wearing! And then next winter I will have an excuse to buy a new oneSo glad I went when I did as it’s tipping down now!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?9

The problem seems to be where to take things.
My local charity shop only take twice a week and says they just have too much and not enough customers now.
Local cat charity shop refused to take clothes and toys last week.
I had new carpets today so my 'old' ones are in my porch to give to whoever wants them. |I wish I could just get them out but I cant as they are too heavy for me.
I have got rid of empty boxes from the loft and a lot of craft stuff has gone to my granddaughters this week.10 -

Stayed up long enough to pay the milkman (4.00 a.m. Friday) so he doesn’t have to make a special trip on Saturday 😇 Friday has been another overcast day with some rain - heavy at times. I have brined the 2kg of olives & the jars are wrapped up & in the shed. Calendar marked to re-brine in a week before storing for two months. DH & I had hm soup for lunch - now thickened up & very tasty 😋 DSis had toast.
DH has started prepping the new raised bed - constructed it in the garage & marked up & drilled all the screw holes. It will be a thing of beauty. Now dismantled & awaiting deconstruction of the current raised bed (after I have harvested the last of the chard). The potato plants are all coming along nicely 👏I had a fairly long & pleasant conversation with the ‘awkward’ neighbour. One annoyance today was that another neighbour’s alarm went wrong & was going for about 3 hours 😱 Every now & again it would be silent for a couple of minutes only to restart. The neighbour has now taken it down completely 👏🥳
Dinner was fried eggs, oven chips, baked beans & lo sausages - yummy 🤤

You have been busy nannywindow 👏 Very MSE to utilise socks for dresses 👏 Shame about the CS bag ☹️ Thanks for the hugs 🤗Newlywed, I know that feeling - you start off with the bag/s & are walking briskly, then you gradually get slower & slower until you doubt the wisdom of donating to the cs 😬 However, you finally make it & then the warm glow kicks in 😉
Oh dear p00 🙁 it is very disheartening when you can’t take in your donations 🙁 Well done on reducing your craft stash 👏
Well done on the decluttering EnergyShifter 👏 Re your DS, hope he doesn’t get locked down when he gets to uni 🤞 It seems our beloved Boris is trying to separate families from each other in order to make us all as miserable as possible & ruin our Christmas - sorry it is just that I watched Gogglebox & saw a bit of his appearance on the Andrew Marr Show - especially the bit about calling us fatties 😉BE KIND. Saturday has started overcast but bright with the sun trying to break through. Today I will be sorting paperwork including writing next week’s To Do List & menu plan. MSE content is that I will save money by completing a menu plan (anyone else tired of seeing that new message?)
You are an example to us all newlywed 😇 Such a shame that we are being frightened into staying home again so not visiting charity shops - although there is a thread with lots of people getting stonkingly good bargains from cs - saving £££.

Morning all, I finally went through the summer wardrobe and only one top is going to the cs, everything else has been put away till next year. I did find a winter coat which hasn't been worn for a while as it was too tight for comfort, unfortunately the cs are not getting it yet as I've lost a bit of weight and it now fits lovely. Upshot is there will be no unnecessary clothes purchases for me. Yay !! Now I just have to tackle the shoes at some point !Well done MrsSD for the long distance decluttering of the neighbours alarmFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10
