1. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEWednesday has been overcast & rainy on & off all day - just steady drizzle so very useful for the garden. I was going to visit the cs but didn’t wake up early enough. An extremely lazy day for me - TV including Gone With The Wind, AB2 & lots of napping 😞
DH repaired the hexagonal peanut feeder by replacing the wire mesh with stronger wire mesh - hopefully squirrel proofed for a while at least 🤞
Dinner was farm shop burgers & sausages which DH cooked in my new griddle pan 👏 with mash & baked beans. The sausages were OK but DSis didn’t like them at all. However the burgers were delicious 😋

Garden_girl_2, you will find that the Decluttering Bug aka decluttering mojo comes & goes. However when it is with you, you can move mountains or at least mountains of clutter 😉🙂You have been busy ailz95 👏 Lots of errands completed & lucky enough to find an open cs. The bank manager gets a medal 🏅Primrose, sounds lovely & how nice to have happy memories 🙂
Boazu, I loved reading about your Swedish Stumpastaken. Never waste a candle stump & always have hot tea/coffee - win, win 👏🙂 + the comfort of candlelight in winter = win, win, win 😉That is what I call successful decluttering bit_by_bit 👏 and nice that your family can benefit from your ‘collecting’ 😉 Re the saving long posts to another location, I used to do that but it caused me no end of problems - I kept getting banned from the forum 😱 I believe it was a combination of things - the copying, too many emojis & not clearing my Safari history. Now I stick to straight on thread, fewer emojis + plus I clear down every Sunday. Touch wood no further bans 🤞

boazu said:I'm waiting on the delivery of a Swedish Stumpastaken! Oh yes I am.....want to know what it is? it's a very clever bit of kit to burn up leftover candle stumps. It's made from a square candle holder made from recycled aluminium and can take 9 candle stumps, it has a steel cage over the top about 2 inches above the candles and you stand your teapot/coffee pot on it to keep it warm. the holes for the candle stupms are made so that they can take big or small diameter candle stumps and I've got half a drawer full because I can't bear to throw them away. A useful thing and very cheerful in the winter because it makes the room quite light too. Quite expensive at £57 for the holder, a base and the cage but I'll never waste a candle end again.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)11 -
Been working long hours but finally someone from freecyle turned up and took back of craft/thick felt pens for kids. Not sure if I counted some of them before so going for 1356 - 13651366 antiseptic cream use by 2014. I'm sure it would be find but have another and it was squidging through the metal tubing!1367 underwear recycling10

We have decluttered more raspberries and loganberries from the garden and inevitably also more courgettes then we actually need BUT I will use them! I may be mad!! I also harvested and scattered the seeds from the wild sown aquilegia plant that appeared under the front hedge this morning in the hope that some will grow in the back garden next year. Managed to give DD some spare clothes that were left here in case she ever needed them but as she can't come in at the moment I 've handed them back to her and made some space in the wardrobe. Bag of foil (mostly milk bottle tops) delivered to the foil bank in the village when we walked this morning.
I think I'll make a batch of chutney this afternoon with those extra courgettes and declutter some of my jars from the jar store cupboard too.
5 jars of lovely dark brown courgette and apple chutney in their jars and cooling on the kitchen table, 3 tiny individual jars too with the leftover bit. Labels written and equipment put away...job done!10 -
One alarm clock decluttered by dumping it outside for passersby to aquire.
Old towels and blankets washed ready for the dog's home. Replaced with newer bulkier but less moth-ridden items. Does it count as decluttering if it takes up more space? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.10 -
Another pair of tights with a hole in gone. No idea how she does it. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEThursday was another overcast & dull day but not as drizzly as Wednesday. More TV, AB2 & less napping 😉 DH went out for the usual weekly shop - not a Bramley in sight 🙁 so no apple & (hg) rhubarb crumble 🙁. Dinner was roast pork, roast potatoes & roasted carrots, parsnips & broccoli stalks + mashed sweet potato, parsnip & carrots + cabbage & broccoli & hm gravy. Dee-licious 😋. I do love my warming drawer - saves overcooking or under cooking 👏
