1. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUE
Monday has been a glorious summer’s day. DH has been busy tidying the garage & discovered that all the carrots, some sweet potatoes & some parsnips had started to liquefy. They have all been blitzed to make a slurry for the worms & to help the compost bins. He also ironed on a leather patch on his motorcycle trousers - very first use of the iron bought over a year ago 😱 Lastly he has used the spray on grass on a couple of large bare patches in the back garden - no idea how old that is - several years 😱😞
My projects for the day were sorting out the under kitchen sink cupboards & fully cleaning the wm. The under sink cupboards have been cleaned, dried & contents rearranged tidily. Everything is now easy to get to 🥳 The washer/dryer has had 2 lots of drum clean with soda crystals + the powder dispenser has been removed & scrubbed clean to within an inch of it’s life + the water trap has been emptied - at least a litre of surprisingly clear water - and the plug & inside of the water trap have been cleaned + the fluff grid has beende-fluffed. The outside has also been washed down & a couple of cocktail sticks used to clear the joins 😉 I am feeling very virtuous 🙃😇 Also did something extra 😆 the towels have now been rolled & so I am afraid no longer 😉 as the airing cupboard is no longer a minefield of falling towels 😂 Thanks again boazu 👏👏
DSis went out for a couple of hours (wonders will never cease 😉) - she walked to & from sm & did a small shop. She came back overheated as it has been very warm today 🙂
Dinner is salad again. I have also made a soup which I need to zizz & taste test & possibly season.
1120 - 1125 Three cardboard boxes, kitchen recycling, plastic jar, plastic pot - Recycled
1126 - 1129 Lots of plastic packaging, old sponge scourer, kitchen detritus, pair of DH’s Sunday socks - Binned
I will be back later to cheerlead 🙂

Popping in to say hello and have just read through the 24 posts that appeareed since I was last in.
I am so close to finishing the RoD now. Another bag of rubbish has gone in the bin. All cardboard boxes and bags emptied, books shelved, clothes bagged up etc.
I also sorted through piles of work related articles and personal papers. Most of it is going into the recycling, I just need to go through it again to make sure there is no identifiable data there.
In addition a nice pine double bed has been put up which I got free through a friend. It is really good quality and includes an almost brand new mattress. I had to do two trips as the car is the van now since we got rid of the campervan last week. Oh well.
Unfortunatley there are a few things that haven't gone because people who said they wanted them now don't. I am making room for the 2 draw filing cabinet in my Craft room for current projects and I will wait for the furniture CS to open for the upholstered piano stool.
There is sadly a new Room of Doom. The craft room will now need re - sorting as I find proper homes for all the craft stuff that should have been in there in the first place. It won't be a priority in the next week as I am going to be working in the garden and allotment plus doing some hosuework. It shouldn't take too long as I have places for most things.
Right, off to get the matress out of the car and drag it upstairs with DH.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Hey, cleared out 10 drawers today, got rid of countless bits of paper, some fridge magnets, as well as added to the boot sale box in the garage.
DD finished the day by breaking a light up bottle my mum bought me. To be honest I did wonder where I would out it now I'm going clutter free, but needed to do the disappointed parent routine. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x9 -

Now to cheerleading - “about time” I hear you say 😉
Well deserved roundtuit 👏 Congratulations on the weight loss 👏 You are right - your signature is amazing & so very apt 👏As you can see boazu I took the tip & ran with it 😉. A usable & tidy airing cupboard shelf 😉 No need to share your medal - your DD gets her own medal 🏅 for convincing you 😉I have had the same problem with vegetables- they really don’t seem to last as long as in previous years bah humbug 🙄 lovely idea to donate item/s to the Hedgehog Hospital 👏Great work EnergyShifter 👏 Now the household accounts are sorted you can make it a monthly task - then you can count as 1 each month 😉Good work nannywindow 👏 Don’t forget to leave a bit behind for the wildlife - bugs etc 🙂 - you can tell I have been watching Springwatch 😉Well that was less than helpful of the bus company, newlywed. Well Done newlywed 👏Decluttering life tasks is in some ways more rewarding than decluttering ‘stuff’ - after all if you haven’t decluttered a few empty jars it doesn’t stop you sleeping, but having life tasks hanging over you causes no end of sleepless nights 😔
Brilliant work bit_by_bit 👏 What a nice friend 🙂 I can see a Gold Star in your future - just don’t forget to let us know when the RoD is finished 😉 Sounds like your craft room will be sorted in fairly short order & will not remain a RoD for long 🙂You are definitely on a roll Nicnak 👏 Ten drawers sorted 👏 I have to admit to nearly falling over reading your comment about the light up bottle 🤣Good luck with the weight & cholesterol decluttering TC77 🤞 Shame the coffee set didn’t garner more pennies but as you say at least it is out 👏 😀Great work Marpau 👏 Unfortunately you got so excited you robbed yourself of 100 items 😉 - you are now on 636 😉 I do like your idea of a celebration 🥳BE KIND. Thanks MrsSD I'll pass it to her with pride. I now have two drawers of edible salad and veg in the fridge and made a nice hot salad for lunch yesterday with a wrinkly courgette, some sad old red peppers and some of my rescued cooked potatoes, it was surprisingly good. The rolling 'thing' works well on bulkier items too, my blanket store is a big old ottoman that belonged to my hubby when he was a baby and all the years we've been together the lid has never shut because the blankets inside were piled up however, using this rolling method the lid is now shut, it's not explainable because there's the same stuff in it but it looks much better.
Today I've decluttered hubby because he's finally got confident enough to take himself off for a days fishing and I'm really happy for him, he's wanted to go for weeks but has been worried about the virus so yesterday we had a drive to the lake and saw how far people were apart and he decided it would be OK. He's gone early with a good packed lunch and a big flask of tea and I hope he has a really nice day. I don't think the number of fish or the size of them will matter today, it's all about the 'going'.
Today my de-clutter will be the bookshelves, there are lots that can go and one of the charity shops here has reopened so I'll donate to them if they have room, or when they have room.9 -
Boazu. I think you make a point about your husband,s fishing Confidence and anxiety which is common to a lot of the population after such a prolonged lockdown and I hope he enjoys his day. As you say, the lack of fish is a minor point, it,s having the confidence to get out again and start Trying to have some degree of normality in your life again.
The charity shops and bargain hunters will be having a bonanza after being closed for so long, and so many people using lockdown to have a good declutter ! Their respective charities have a lot of income to make up.8 -
I'm really glad he went because he's had a lovely day and caught 10 decent fish total weight 50 -60lbs, of course they all get put back in the lake but he's had a whole day in the fresh air relaxing and I think that's something all of us who have been locked down could do with at this point in the game isn't it?10
