My very kind neighbour helped to build a fence at the back of me (his fence too) today he took all of the bits of wood I had dismantled from the fence to the tip. Whilst he was there, he also took the carpet from my bedroom from Saturday, an old bird feeder that had rusted as well. What a lovely guy! My garage is looking a little better again. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x11 -
1. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUE
Sunday was an odd day weather wise - mostly bright, occasionally warm, very windy, often threatening rain but not a drop 🤔 DH pottered in the garden & garage including repairing the hanging peanut feeder - the squirrel had chewed through the rope & it was on the floor. It is now hanging on a chain - let us see the little blighter chew through that 😉
I walked to MrA, got some cash then went in for shopping. No concept of social distancing, complete ignorance re following the one way system & an almost total absence of face masks. I was a good child - wore a face mask, followed the one way signs, looked then chose, picked up & put in trolley. Young girl on till who never spoke to me other than to request payment - spent all her time chatting to her 2 young co-workers. All in all not that good an experience. Waiting for the bus, I noticed that most people got on without face coverings & were NOT refused entry by the driver 🙄 Luckily my bus, over the course of my journey home, was 5 people on with ALL of us wearing masks 🥳 DH made me a cuppa whilst I was putting away the shopping. Put together an apple & rhubarb crumble which is now cooked. Dinner was salad using hg lettuce, hg chard, a single huge hg radish which DH & I shared, hg chives used in the hm Austrian potato salad (mayonnaise free). Hard boiled eggs, cold meats, SWEETCORN, kidney beans, couscous for DH & sm potato salad for DSis.

Excellent work roundtuit 👏👏 I hope you are feeling chuffed with yourself 😊 I am so pleased that you have rediscovered up 🙂 sometimes it just needs a little nudge & then you are away & flying high 👏 So in recognition of your efforts a medal 🏅 is on its way to you.
I am with you on having a clear draining rack boazu 🙂 I do the washing up, drying up & putting away before bed. By the way, one medal 🏅 coming to you for the rolling as opposed to folding tip - a task for later today 👏
Nicnak, I too roll clothes for packing suitcases - just never entered my head to do it for towels 🙄 Good neighbours are worth their weight in gold 🙂 I see a baking session in your future 😉
EnergyShifter, are you sure balancing the household accounts doesn’t count as at least 5 🤔😉🙂
Hope you enjoyed the trilogy short_bird 🙂
Great work Happy_Kitties 👏
Well done on the decluttering nannywindow 👏 & 😇 for making your DGC happy 👏
Excellent work TC77 👏 Hope you got lots of pennies for the vintage coffee set 🙂

Morning xx
Oh, Mrs SD, a medalFor me? That's a lovely surprise. My first medal. It will join my two stars - and (if I can ever work out how) they will be added to my signature and worn with pride.
Today is starting well: I got weighed (to make sure that the scales were heading back in the right direction) and I'd lost (decluttered?) the 4 lbs that I put on last week - it must have been that pizza that I ate the night before WI. Now it's (ahem) gone, I'm back on track... and motivated to continue. Then I walked in to the kitchen which, thanks to yesterday's pootling, has clear worktops again - apart from the one that isn't done yet - but even that is showing evidence of WIP. I must remember to read my own signature: little things add up! Thank you for the shove in the right direction ladies - now that I know that up is actually up I can continue.
343 - 345 pizza boxes recycled
346 - 351 can rinsed and recycled
352 - 354 cardboard packaging and a box recycled
Love to all

A medal for me too? how exciting but I rather feel it should go to DD who showed me the error of my ways. Is it OK if I share it with her? (she doesn't post here but I feel I should).
Sorting out the salad and veg drawers in the fridge today, I don't know if it's just here but the fresh fruit and veg being delivered by the supermarkets is just NOT keeping, spinach delivered on Wednesday afternoon had gone to slime by Thursday lunchtime, potatoes delivered at the same time had all sprouted by yesterday evening too so have been cooked to save them. Today I shall be looking at what will keep and what won't and having a cooking session to make sure we use all of it that can be used and the rest will go into the compost heap so at least it won't be in landfill. I'll also go through the cupboard in the big dresser in the lounge and see how much of it I actually use, the rest can be given to the Hedgehog Hospital for their charity stall.9 -

Mrs SD you are right - the household accounts felt like way more than one item - it took me all morning and involved bank statements & credit card bills going back over 18 months!!

Out today :- 2 green waste bins ready for collection tomorrow. They were full to the brim with some of the wood / twigs which had been hidden in the shrubbery. Sadly there is a lot more waste wood than I thought, so this will be ongoing for quite a while yet. Also binned :- the last of the carpet pieces, a broken plastic scraper and 2 rusty metal rods.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger our local bus company helpfully emailed everyone on its list to say the police will be enforcing masks and not drivers... my sister said next day hardly anyone was wearing them.If they had kept quiet then maybe more would wear them!
not much decluttering from me, apart from a couple of life tasks. One included threatening a company with financial ombudsman as they “weren't refusing to give me a statement and my credit agreement” but had no clue how to send me a password that they say they sent me a year ago. After quoting financial services act and consumer credit act 1974 they eventually went and found how to do it!
the other task was a phone call with landlord we were dreading and was shorter than expected and sounded much more positive than expected.Hopefully will sleep better tonight now that’s done.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?8
