Not alot from me. Trying to put office chair together - when I've got it right there will be packaging and also trying to fix printer...1085 -1086 - 2 parcels back
1087 scanned form and some paper declutter
1088 couple of emails sent
Had hoped to do more paperwork but finishing form ( attendance allowance for my dad which is quite lengthy) was good.8 -
Morning xx
nannywindow - your signature was exactly what I needed to read after yesterday. Thank youI have a habit of falling at the first hurdle and quitting. And the Universe has a habit of pulling the rug from under my feet when it sees me standing up and moving forward - mixed metaphors but the end result is the same: splat!
Not this time. Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm going to write nan's wise words in my planner - there's an empty page dated 3rd June! There will be days when I'm feeling bleugh, or events catch me unawares, because that's life. I can give up or I can learn from them and move forward. Sorry - I'm giving myself a pep talk and you're all getting it.
There was some progress yesterday - I took my sewing machine (still boxed - I have aspirations!) upstairs and stored it in the corner of my bedroom; ditto a bag of books that I've read and I'm debating whether to keep or cs. So not exactly decluttered but they are no longer in the living room - and they will find a new home when I get round to the RoD.
107-108 pizza boxes binned
109 uu deodorant recycled
110 - 116 cans recycled
117 - 118 milk carton and pill box recycled
Oh, and I put a returned jigsaw away in the cupboard, and the extension lead in its drawer where it belongs.
I'm feeling better about myself already.

16/52 - a drawer cleared out of rubbish and recycling, a pair of pants in the bin and a freebie used up.
An ever larger number of bags at the door but no movement on them yet!!
Still like reading how everyone else is getting on even though my personal progress is slow.8 -

What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours .......... I will bet you are all singing along 🤣 Wednesday was overcast, a lot cooler & kept threatening rain. However the rain was restricted to a couple of short spells of drizzle 🙁 not the heavy downpour I was hoping for - the garden could have done with a good soaking. DSis finally went out & picked up the missing bit of her prescription & also did a small sm shop. DH spent a couple of hours sorting out the shed & doing remedial work on the mini rose which may not survive - has some sort of blight 🙁 I on the other hand did sweet fanny adams - again. Bit of knitting, played AB2, reading, cleared down a few programmes from planner. Dinner was mash, oven baked sausages & mushrooms plus tinned plum tomatoes.1020 - 1024 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, magazine, 2 cardboard boxes - Recycled
1025 - 1026 Bag of kitchen detritus, emptied sack of bird food - Binned
Thursday is even more overcast & chilly than yesterday but no rain yet. DH had a bath & has now gone for our weekly shop. DSis is watching TV in her room. I have gone through the freezer & fridge for los to make a soup. This is now bubbling away on the stove. Have knitted another set of bonding squares, read a bit & am clearing down more programmes from the planner. My back is still giving me a bit of gip but can move about more now.DH is back from the sm & has retired to his office with coffee & a piece of pie. I have put away most of the shopping. Thanks Nicnak 👏 rest & relaxation is definitely helping. Well done on the decluttering 👏Streamlined magazine rack roundtuit - no wonder you are smiling 😉 Well done 👏“nannywindow - your signature was exactly what I needed to read after yesterday. Thank you. Thanks for the above roundtuit 👏 You have succinctly summed up my feelings & I am so grateful that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️Well done on the decluttering bit_by_bit 👏 & repurposing/making absolutely counts as decluttering 👏 Very useful to have a DH who is ‘handy’ - yours & mine obviously came from the same mould 😉 I am keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 that the cs will open & that everyone who volunteers stays safe.Great work ailz95 👏 & you appear to have DH on board as well 😉 Great to have surprise cheques arriving in the post - makes a change from bills 😉Over 400 EnergyShifter - well done 👏Well done nannywindow 👏 Your DH & mine must be twins 😆- I have given up darning his socks 😔
Good work TC77 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way for completing a government form 😱Good work Rootle 👏 You are still decluttering so you can knock the idea of slow progress on the head naughty, naughty (I so miss the wagging finger emoji 🙁)MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️1026/2020Be Kind. I also have a fridge freezer and assorted stuff in the garden waiting for the restrictions to ease and get them picked up I'm kinda doing fly lady 21 thing boogie and working threw zones ill probably post weekly coz I need accountability so anyone who feels urge to nudge if you don't hear from me lol

2024 let's do this !!9 -
My first gold star - I am inordinately thrilled and can't stop smiling
Thank you Mrs SD xx
119 pizza box binned
120-124 cans recycled
125 bag of kitchen rubbish binned
126-126 magazines read and recycled
Now that I can see what's in the magazine rack, and now that I know I want to read everything in there, I find that I'm picking up magazines to read and, once read, they are out of the door and in the blue box. So the rack will become even more streamlined woot woot.
killielila - I only joined in on 1st June so you are not alone in starting a summer clear out.
Rootle - progress is progress- whatever speed it's at. I recently cleared a large box of paperwork - one piece of paper at a time, and every piece of paper was one less in the house. Every little helps is one of my mantras.
Have a good evening

Thanks Mrs SD for my medal. I'm counting printing covering letter, and posted with proof of posting as another one 1089Office chair put together (except arms which I may not add) - you can inflate the back for extra support so after panicking that it was awful - I got the back setting wrong and felt I was sliding off - going to keep bulky packaging for a week to see.1090 pair of earplugs losted on walk1091- 1092 - garden stuff.1093 - new saucers for plantpots brought back and straight under pots1094 - old hose pipe binned. I continued to be lazy on Thursday - DH cooked cheesy pasta for dinner 😉 The cheese sauce was initially a bit bland but DH added a chunk of Gorgonzola which lifted it & dinner was absolutely delicious. Knitted another set of baby bonding squares. Cleared a few more TV programmes from planner. Having fallen asleep on the sofa, I woke up feeling dreadful - I came over all peculiar, no temperature, no coughing just bleugh. Anyway went to bed & had an attack of shivering - good job DH is my own personal hot water bottle 😉
Took over an hour to warm up enough to stop shivering & fall asleep.Friday out of bed by 9:00 a.m. having had about 3 hours sleep. Definitely feeling better, but have put on a fleece & am wearing my fluffy slippers 😉 The sun is trying to come out 🥳 but am still waiting for the rain 😉

Welcome aboard the Decluttering Bandwagon killielila 👋 It does not matter when you start the Great Decluttering Journey 😉 You have made a start so well done 👏 Whilst you are new to this thread, it might be an idea to pop in & report every 2 days until you are in the swing of decluttering. Do you want to set a target/targets? - a lot of us find that a very helpful aid to keeping us on track. There are various ways of counting - could be black bin bags, by room or by item. Or you could choose not to count & just take before and after photos. Whatever helps you to declutter. Nice to see you & I look forward to learning a bit more about you - after all I am the resident nosey c*w 😂😉
You are more than welcome roundtuit 🙂 Well done on keeping up the momentum 👏
I particularly like the magazine rack solution - now that it is tidy - read & recycle 👏
You are welcome TC77 🙂 Great work TC77 👏 almost up to 1100 - you are motoring 🙂
Well done on the weight loss EnergyShifter 👏 I hope you are not turning into a recluse 😉 Mind you I have never been on FB or owned a mobile phone. The only place I ‘exist’ online is on MSE OS Forum 🙂.

Rountuit it was more a note to myself but I'm glad it has helped you too. I'm guilty of failing first time and not wanting to try again for fear of another failure.Yesterday it was my birthday and today I have gathered up all the wrapping paper, envelopes and boxes and they have been either recycled or binned. No dithering or thinking that may come in handy for crafting etc, so thanks to MrsSD and all who post on here
Your efforts and will power must have rubbed off on me.
Keep up the good work allnanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8
