I haven't forgotten you or the decluttering, but being a key worker life as we now know it got in the way.
Unfortunately I do not have time to read back all the posts, but I am sure with the encouragement of Mrs SD that you are all doing an amazing job.
I was last here on 6th March with a count of 575 items, that has increased immensely as DH, DS and his GF have taken on the mantle as they are all furloughed.
From the garage, paint cans, broken tools, spare pieces of wood in case they come in useful, broken plastic storage boxes, boxes in case they come in useful, empty car shampoo bottles, steering wheels, alloy wheels, helmets, roof rack, model car parts have either been tipped, given away or sold on Ebay.
From the shed, I have no idea what has gone, but 2 people can now comfortably stand in it. At the end of March you opened the door and hoped not too much fell out on you.
From DS's bedroom, clothes have been ebayed, bags and bags of clutter from under the ottoman bed and goodness knows where else have been coming out. So much in fact that he has now moved the room around and decorated it, first time ever wallpapering with Dad's help and it looks lovely.
The spare room of doom has been sorted, but is still a work in progress. There are more books to go to the CS when they re-open. Board games which are never played to go to CS. Jigsaws which have now been completed during lockdown to go to the CS.
In the small room, aka as the office, I have removed enough paperwork going back over 20 years to fill 10 recycling bags once all shredded.
The garden is looking the best it has for many years, this has been my downtime and I am really pleased with it.
As a collective we have made almost £1000 on Ebay and FB selling so all are happy especially DS and his GF as they are saving to buy somewhere.
Keep up the good work and stay safe xx

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEMonday was yet another scorcher again with a pleasant cooling breeze. DH was out on the motorbike by 8:00 a.m. - Round Britain Rallying in Lincolnshire - home by 6:00 p.m. having also done a small sm shop. Everywhere apart from Skegness was packed - what was that - social distancing - not even a memory 🙁 😠 DH treated us all to some proper sticks of rock 🥳 Riding along at 70+mph, DH noticed a bee hanging on for dear life on the drinks holder. Pulled over when it was safe to do so & the bee gratefully flew off having had the ride of its life 🤣 DSis had a long lazy soak when she eventually got up & I took the opportunity to descale the kettle & change the filter. The descaling water has been reused to descale garden hose attachment.
I was up just after 9:00 a.m - watered the lettuce & seedlings & refilled the birds water bowls whilst kettle was boiling for my mug of tea. Bit of reading, bit of AB2 whilst drinking my cuppa. Cooked the ‘about to turn’ apples & will make a pie tomorrow. Folded & put away the clothes & towels from yesterday. Prepped potatoes for dinner. Thankfully new TV licence arrived as old one expired yesterday. Lots of birdsong, a squirrel visited, Mrs Fox had a precious egg for her afters & a very cheeky cat stood on its hind legs, rested front paws on the table & drank water from birds water bowl 🤔 I gave it a minute or so then shooed it away. Dinner was chicken fried in butter with boiled new potatoes & garden peas 😋996 - 1004 Kitchen recycling, paper packaging, large plastic bottle, uu spray can, large glass jar & metal lid, glass spice jar, cardboard packaging, 2 cardboard boxes - Recycled1005 - 1006 Plastic packaging, kitchen detritus - Binned“ roundtuit said:Morning
Thank you Mrs SDProcrastinate? Me? Nahhhh - well yes actually: I have Olympic medals in procrastination! I'm also quite good at 'not seeing' clutter and dust until someone knocks at the door - then it all jumps out and goes 'Boo'.“
Absolutely love this roundtuit 🙂. I agree that where to start is the biggest decluttering conundrum but you have the right idea - just pile in 👏 and what an excellent start roundtuit 👏 especially sorting the carrier bags - you must have oodles of space now 😉 You have done something towards each of your 3 goals - stated on another thread - so should be very proud of yourself 👏You are so right elsien - tortoise is definitely the way to go 😉Excellent work ailz95 👏 I hope the coconut shell washing experiment works 🤞Good work Gem-gem 👏Absolutely blooming right TC77 - sunshine takes precedence over decluttering physical items 😉Great work short_bird 👏 Reading your tagline it wouldn’t surprise me if Christmas was cancelled 🙁BE KIND. Morning xx
I'm all excited wondering if Mr SD drove past my house yesterday. I live in North Lincolnshire though - he may not have ventured this far. I wonder if that bee found it's way home??? I have to ask - what is AB2? I've discarded antibiotics and after-burner and given up on All Bran. I'm nosey - sorry.
I wouldn't say I've created 'oodles' of space but I can tell where I pottered yesterday - and this morning I've smiled at my side table, more space under the kitchen table and a little bit of kitchen worktop that wasn't visible yesterday. I've got my sights set on the magazine rack today and the shelf under the side table after that.
Breakfast first though, and a second brew.
Have a good day.

I'm really suffering from lockdown burnout today not helped by hay fever. No decluttering going on just trying not to lose my rag with Ex who is being more than usually annoying. I have resolved to step away more and leave him to it. I just feel so exhausted and feel like I just need something to go right for once. Ah well, it's nothing to a shipwreck is it. Rant over!Magnolia Stellata11

Hello fellow declutterers.I have been busy trying to sort out my garden, see what the sunshine does, makes me come over all unnecessary
Lots of weeds and trimmings in the bin and also some rotten wood waiting to be broken up, then ready for the bin. My household waste bin was emptied this morning so I shall put in more of the cut up carpet, ready for the next collection. I also recycled the packaging from some xmas smellies and that's about all for now.
Oh! and nearly recluttered a young crowI had just shut the patio door when there was a plop on the lintel, seemed like the cheeky thing was trying to get in ! I've had cats wander in before, but never a crow try his luck !!
Stellata Could you declutter your DH ?Hope things improve asap.
Hang on in there everyone, there will be light at the end of the tunnel........ I hopeTake care all.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -

Been pottering along and have some decluttering to report:-
62 items paperwork
1 cd to OH to be used as bird scarer on the veg patch
1 indoor plant into green bin
1 t-shirt into CS bag
It may take a while before we can take things to a CS as they're all concerned about being overwhelmed with donations. I have a list of things I need to buy from CSs but unfortunately I'm not ready to go out and about until I see more where the number of infections is going so won't be able to help relieve them of excess stock.
