elsien said:I'm decluttering my garden of sodding cat poo. I am seriously not impressed that my garden is now their toilet of choice. I've got upturned plant pots all over the place to send the little sods elsewhere - looks awful at the moment.
Hope you're feeling better Mrs SD, what has happened to the s*dding weather? DH is back in a bodywarmer and I'm wearing a cardigan.
Our gardener asked if they could have all our cardboard boxes out of the garage, they're apparently going to do a 'heavy mulch' and put cardboard down to kill the weeds and so on under the mulch. That'll make extra space in the garage - tried to persuade them that bubble wrap would work too, but they didn't fall for it. Just got some polystyrene from a package to get rid of now. Or pass on to a child for crafts.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright10 -

Thank you for your birthday wishes, t'was very kindMore birthday paraphernalia gone. I'm wondering just why the local florist put 4 large sheets of shiny pink rose wrapping paper and an inner brown one, plus 3 bows of ribbon on my bouquet, then sat the whole lot in a pink box with yet another large purple bow on the front ? It was lovely, but a bit OTT and a shame as it was all binned..... even the bows as they had to be cut off. Also recycled the last of my cake and it's box too. I just wish I could declutter some weight
Roll on til next year
Happy decluttering all.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8 -

Agree with others this weather makes you feel about down and I think ongoing crisis. Can see progress and some emptier shelves but need to do more so I can organise.
Why did I have open shelves in the kitchen - the grease on the top shelves with everything sticky is so awful ( and I don't cook much !10 -
1. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 30 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY AT LEAST TWICE EVERY DAY2. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT3. I WILL ENDEAVOUR TO BE NICE TO EVERYONE & TRY TO SEE THE FUNNY OR PECULIAR SIDE TO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUESaturday we finally saw some rain. Mainly overcast, some bright spots then a short, sharp thunder & lightning storm. Fell asleep sitting up on the sofa which seems to have done my back the world of good. Also meant I was awake to pay the milkman. Apparently, and I am quoting “There are a couple of skanks stealing milk deliveries from doorsteps” Kind of makes me glad that I don’t go to bed until after my milk is delivered 😉 Knitting, clearing down TV planner, AB2. DH pottered, DSis watched TV in her room. DH & I had hm soup for lunch. Dinner was hm cottage pie with added peas, extra carrots, red lentils, tomatoes & mushrooms & topped with cheesy mash. Plenty left for 2 people tomorrow & someone can have lo cheesy pasta. There is also enough cottage pie mix (5 Portions) for freezer.1034 - 1037 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, 2 cardboard boxes - Recycled

All of the CDs that were piled on the kitchen worktop have been dusted and put into my new CD holder. Ruler and spanner (for kitchen table legs) put in drawer.
Now that the bulk of the paperwork has been shredded I think that my shredder can stop living on the kitchen work top - but it needs to be somewhere get-atable so that another box of paper doesn't build up. Pondering where it can go.
I'm also going to pack up the cs pile ready to leave the house - aaarghhh there is so much stuff in this house. I'm looking at my streamlined magazine rack to remind myself that this is doable. And floor - I have far more floor in the living room. Reminder to self: it is a WIP. I am a WIP.
Now where can the shredder live?

Had two bedrooms plastered and decorated with it finally finishing yesterday. I have refused to put anything back into DD's room without it being checked and yesterday she was in a decluttering mood.
Three bin bags full of things are ready for charity shops and one bin bag of rubbish. Just from her room. A lot of books that she has outgrown, clothes, as well as toys and teddies. I didn't count them but it must be around 50 items.
I've still got to sort out my stuff now before it goes back in as well. That will be after the carpet is fitted though. x

Thank you for making me so welcome, we rehomed a baby gym and a padded play mat on the local village noticeboard last evening and have a bouncing chair and microwave sterilizer and bottles on offer which I hope someone will want still on today. Baby is older now and doesn't need the early equipment any longer so it's made a bit more space in the bedroom. I had a change around in the kitchen cupboards and have got all my saved jars in one place for making jam later on and found some things there I've not used for a long time so they can be offered too and make a bit more storage space which will be useful.10
