Roundtuit, love the name!
An organizing book I read suggested putting things where you use them so my shredder lives next to the front door so it can eat the junkmail before it settles on a flat surface. The only downside has been lots of teasing from family and friends! Enjoy your car and phone!10 -

Morning xx
Wanna_Bee_Free - that's a good idea but there's no socket in the (tiny) hall - although there is a shredder sized corner where it could stand. And it would be get-atable when needed, but out of the way when not in use. I do believe you've solved my problem. Thank you xx
I'm decluttering myself to work today, The last section of kitchen worktop isn't cleared (as I'd hoped it would be) but it's definitely clearer - there are areas where you can see worktop and there wasn't before. And now it has been started I will continue. It's the starting that I find difficult.
Hope you all have a good day
Rxx

Realise when the sun was out I would have breakfast and lunch in the garden . I have a small garden(lucky in london) but some greenery and bright red geraniums. Felt almost like being on holiday and relaxed. Not eating inside much less relaxing as stuff everywhere - not as much stuff but untidy and random things around so realise I have to create a place of calm to eat and be able to breathe and pause. Just tidied kitchen - paper and plastic bags breed.1130 highlighter past best1131 paper recycled1132 candle1133 some packaging binned - and other tidied awayfound 5 odd gloves -(debating whether to keep and their partners may be somewhere) have dozens of odd socks and now keep a box downstairs - occasionally a pair gets made, otherwise if DDs complain of cold - (walk around without slippers) I get them to put an unmatched pair on - also I have walking trainers that need a second pair so when go for a walk often use the odd socks (have some same thickness etc)Going to breakfast in the garden for peace and then work (find it hard sometimes being at home surrounded by everything) but keeping going encouraged by what everyone is doing and Mrs SD cheer leading use all. Thank you !10

When we lived in Oldhm, we used to get a lot fo 'cs' bags through the door - but there was rarely a registered charity number on them. The ones without were just someone with a van collecting clothes and them selling them to a 'rag' collecter for so much per kilo. I didn't mind if the stuff was a bit ropey, but begrudged it when stuff was decent.
It may just have been a Manchester thing though.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright9 -
Mrs SD. I think you have a good point about stocking up for the the 2nd wave. I will look at my cupboards and freezer tonight. Many people will have learnt a lesson about thinking ahead after the panic buying when the lockdown came into force.
Today a large bag of paper recycling has gone into the recycling bin. This is from the room of doom and there is more.
I am also grateful that the CS will be open soon but have a thought about how you donate if you want it to raise decent money for the charity concerned.
1. Clothing - if possible take only seasonal stuff, everything else will go to the ragman as they usually have no storage.
2. Only to take one or two bags at a time as they will be getting overwhelmed so may refuse more.
3. Don't be upset if donations are declined. They want it just don't have the storage. Spread the love between shops if you can. I work in one of the 7 local ones and get aggro sometimes when the 2 bag rule is in place. This is normal times.
I know it is hard for some people to hang on to their stuff, e.g. witner clothing they have cleared out. To be honest it is only a 3 or 4 more months beofre they will be accepting it.
5. Christmas stuff will definitely be chucked in the bin.
Follow these tips and it will be easier for the shops to take your donation and actually make some money out of it.

Just wanted to report on success of the cs bag being collected. It was collected by a van with the well known charity name on the side, so hopefully not rogue. Also binned another Sunday sock, however it's mate seems to have gone walkabout. It will turn up somewhere, or not ! I like to think that there must be an island somewhere full of lone socksFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11
