4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEI really must get back into the habit of posting daily 😔Monday was overcast but occasionally sunny, rather cold & no real rain to speak of 🙁
DH pottered in garage, DSis watched TV, I spent the day reading (book 5 of the The Shipyard Girls series) AND cooking. Fried up onions, going soft carrots & most of my garlic - 2 bags in freezer & the rest used in an huge BOLOGNESE sauce. Managed to turn 750g of mince into 2kg of Bolognese sauce by the judicious use of cooked lentils & lots of dried mushrooms. 3 x 500g bags of sauce slotted into freezer. The rest used for dinner. Cooked rather a lot of pasta, so a bag of los has been added to freezer ‘soup’ drawer.Tuesday is shaping up to be a better day - fluffy white clouds, sunshine & warmth. DH took the Harley Davidson to the garage for repair & MOT came home on tube & DLR - everyone wearing masks 👏 DH finished the last of the hm soup for lunch. He got a phone call - Slight problem with a stuck bolt so DH was advised that getting it undone might cause more damage 😱 However he has just received a call to say that no extra damage - new bearings, new brake pads. (supplied by DH) & has passed MOT. DH will collect tomorrow.DH is now pottering in the garden - put up cages round 2 of the bird feeders - hopefully less bird seed will be wasted on the pigeons 🤞
DSis & I are watching the 1951 version of Strangers on a Train atm. I have finished Book 5 of Shipyard Girls - really enjoying them & will probably NOT pass on to cs 😔

- BinnedNow into cheerleading which will take a while as so many of you have been busy 😉 👏Hope your back is better villagelife 🙁 entering the Strong Woman championships was a mistake wasn’t it ? 😉 Hope the DS2 weight loss was intentional? Well done on the decluttering 👏Great work roundtuit 👏 you are really getting the hang of this decluttering lark 😉 & so is your DS by the looks of it. I think I prefer drunk rats - they might forget how to swim 😉 Already into the 200’s 👏Congratulations on the new car - have you named her yet?15 years of faithful service from Pip 👏 You are so right roundtuit - the getting started is the most difficult part of decluttering 🙁 but once the mojo is with you make the most of it 😉Boazu, TC77 is absolutely correct - clearing, decanting food stuffs is an excellent decluttering job - definitely counts 👏 As we are still having cold snaps, I would put the jumpers out - someone will find a use for them. With you on the electronic decluttering elsien 😉 I really should sort mine out but 😉Fingers crossed 🤞 nannywindow - It will give you a mood lift if the cs bag is collected 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏 & I do like the ‘spot & swoop’ scenario. Great news re cs collection nannywindow 🙂 An island of lone socks plotting to take over the world 🤣 - or maybe turning themselves into face masks 😂How brave TC77 & well done 👏 Fingers crossed 🤞 that DD is successful 😉 You should count the 2 boxes of stuff as FOUR - the actual boxes & the sets of contents 😉 Rather annoying that she only did half a job but half is better than none 😉 Really pleased that you have an haven to relax in TC77 - especially a beautiful one 🙂 You can recharge your batteries, top up your Vitamin D & let the world get on with it 😉 What a great idea for odd socks 🥳Let’s hope she has another mood in the near future, Nicnak 😉
Good work EnergyShifter 👏Great idea Wanna_Bee_Free 👏

Bit_by_bit, thank you so much for the charity shop info - so useful that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Apparently BHF shops are doing a phased reopening so I am hoping that my local one opens soon - I only have one bag but it would be nice if I could drop it off as there is a market nearby 🤞

Started clearing the bathroom out today - chucked some really old body creams and lotions. Then I sorted out my running gear - ditched some of the larger sizes that would fall down now. Found out a couple of DVDs to donate to the CS, and a pile for DH to look through and decide if he wants to keep. Starting small but at least I'm startingOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Dinner was roast beef (DH bought ys from MrS - OK but not very tasty, the 2nd small joint will be slow cooked), roast potatoes 🤤, cabbage & Yorkshire puddings. DH & I had cherry jelly with summer fruits & squirty cream for afters. The jelly didn’t set very well but it really did taste of cherries.
Well done supersaver1000 👏 & congratulations on the weight loss 👏

I've decluttered the odds and ends that were on the bookshelves in the spare bedroom and moved the longest life and most bulky stores on to it instead, nice not to have things in boxes on the floor and the room looks ever so much tidier now.10

Bad news, all: my Mum passed away and I've been busy sorting out the funeral, the estate, the house clearance... have kept quiet about it on here till now, I reckon everyone has enough to deal with at the moment.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
