I got a gold star! Thank you Mrs SD! Bit worried by news that over 70s are going to have to self isolate soon, not me but my ex who I look after a fair bit (disabled). Am decluttering some food to go over to a friends so we can cook dinner. Then I'm going to set up a big box in the shed for chaz stuff so I can cut down on the number of trips there while all this is going on

I work all week, so decluttering only happens at weekends.
Yesterday felt like nothing would happen and then just before bed I shoved years worth of those useful looking chinese take-away tubs into the recycling and some expired dried fruit and old discoloured paper cups into the bin.
Today dd tidied her room, so we took a broken globe, an old school project and lots of rubbish up the tip. I added to it a bag of rubbish from the garden (including the toy cars the dog keeps digging up from the garden).Debt Free: 01/01/2020

I had a doctor's appointment on Friday and they rang and asked if the doctor could speak to me via the phone as I'm considered compromised. Said yes, but then had to go in to get a prescription - which wasn't ready - and was told to go back on Tuesday for it. I'd expected the doctor's to be empty but when I got there it was packed. Our doctors is also it's own pharmacy as we don't have one in local villages. Hubby keeps telling people who ask about our health - his kids and sister - that we're fine but in the killing zone (over 65 and not very healthy). M-I-L (98) got a bad cough - gave it to a carer - her's (MILs) went in 2 days carers lasted longer.
We've been storing stuff in the garage rather than going to the charity shop - but we'll have to go soon or I won't get the car in for junk -.
What will happen if/when they close schools I don't know - an awful lot of care workers/nurses/doctors are also parents. Who'll look after their children if they can't get home because of covid-19. Usually during school holidays many grandparents take the job - but they're not going to be able to do it.
All a bit doom and gloomy, but we'll get through it. No point worrying over things you can't change.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright9 -
Out of interest, what would the recommended number of cat-5 ethernet cables be for a household containing one router, one desktop and one laptop?
And a supplementary question - if you have a power adaptor and not a clue what it's for, how long do you hold onto it for.(On the grounds that you'll work it out the minute you bin it.)

Mrs SD - when your posts show 4am in the morning are you really up then? I'm snug in my bed until 7.15am at the earliest. And the postage goes up on 23rd March, I got 1,000 stamps on Friday - might get another 500, that would keep the charity office going for a year.9

Today's tally (which tbf does still have to get past the front door) is a sack of old paperwork that's been shredded, a bag of assorted cables/leads/chargers,a bag of used printer cartridges and another headrest from the defunct Skoda. Can't see ebay being up to much at present so I'm going to recycle instead. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
