I've got rid of 395 items so far (using my conservative counting method) so I'm actually quite pleased with that.Magnolia Stellata14

Just got really really annoyed with the forum/site. It put me back to page one on everything and then no reference on the "help" pages. Even though I am permanently signed in I had to sign in again.
Anyhow I wanted to tell you all that I got another March bag for the bin this time. I went through all my gardening and binned all the left hand ones -11 with holes, (I am left-handed ). Then after trying to think of how I might use the righthanded ones I gave up and threw out the sorrier looking ones. They had been falling off the shelf where I keep them with the hand tools.Cleaned the shelf and all is tidy and a lot safer as tools would fall on my feet when I rummaged for a glove with no holes. Newcomer to decluttering - it's great fun and every little helps even though it may be some time before you see a difference.

I still can't believe there is no Tutorial in an accessible place for the forum. I,m still struggling with many aspects of it and not using is anywhere so much as previously. It,s nowhere near as user friendly as the old one in my opinion.14

1. DO NOT PUT OFF TO TOMORROW WHAT CAN/SHOULD BE DONE TODAY2. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS” - MINIMUM 10 MINUTE BURSTS OF ACTIVITY UNTIL THE DECLUTTERING MOJO RETURNS (Thanks oceanspirit 👏)
3. LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
4. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
5. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S?
Sunday did an sm shop - too late for any ys bargains & no cheap freezer bags just the expensive ziplock ones 🙄 Sunday’s dinner was chicken fried in butter, boiled potatoes, sweetcorn & garden peas
Monday was a lazy day - had a relaxing bath, pampered myself but unfortunately my Olay facial cream has had to be repurposed to body lotion ☹️ Will have to see if I have something else to use as a face cream. All 3 of us thought we had dental appointments. DH went on his own, DSis & I left a bit later. I was seriously displeased with TfL 😖 Bank Station is currently having work done, so we followed the signs to the Central Line. Ended up at Monument Station & then had to walk back to Bank 😡 outside 😡 Why on earth there aren’t signs up saying Exit & Re-enter to reach the Central Line I have no idea 👿
DSis & I we’re not happy bunnies, although my F*tb*t was happy - every cloud etc 🤭
When we finally arrived at the Dentist, DH was being treated & we discovered that DSis had no appointment 🙄 She had ignored the texts asking her to book an appointment 🙄
Just a clean & polish for me & my luvverly DH paid 🥳 All 3 of us 😆 booked appointments for September. We then decided to eat out so went to Greenwich. Pub grub - DH & DSis had pork rib-eye & chips 🤤 & I had sausages, mash & onion gravy 😋
No decluttering except of lots of pennies ☹️Tuesday has been a mainly dryish day. I did our laundry & also washed our bedding - all done & put away. DH helped me rotate the mattress & I remade with new bedding. Visit to the Chinese Wellness Centre - Massage wasn’t so brutal this time 😁 Spent some time on paperwork. Hm soup for lunch 😋
539 - 545 Two bags of kitchen recycling, 3 newspapers, cardboard box, 0.5” paperwork - Recycled
546 - 551 Two bags of kitchen detritus, bag of office detritus, 0.5” shredding, Uu mini body lotion, pair of Sunday knickers - Binned
552 - 553 Two ‘knit a toy’ kits (instructions are in French + I am not a good enough knitter to wing it ☹️) - CS bag
Good work Foofoopuppy 👏 Getting ready for the move & packing only stuff you want in your new home 👏
Hope your RL issues get sorted satisfactorily savvy. Well done on the decluttering - anything out is a win 👏
Keep up the good work Rootle 👏
You are doing exactly the right thing Nicnak 🙂 Large decluttering tasks need a lot of energy & motivation. Hopefully when you have rebuilt your reserves of both, you will find that neither of the 2 tasks will be quite as daunting 🤞
Great work TC77 👏 A belated birthday present is on its way - you have earned a Gold Star ⭐️
Excellent work Marpau 👏 keep up the good work 👏
Self care RepentHoarder - well done 👍 Did you paint your nails one colour or did you go rainbow 🤭 “Doing my items” - I love it 👏
Great work stellata 👏 Hopefully you will have at least 20 coats to dispose of 😂 You should be pleased with yourself - almost 400 👏
Wow EssexHebridean 👏 you & your DH have been busy. A 2nd Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 👏 I also love to read that you are still enjoying the process - it gives us all hope 😁
Never_too_old, Remember that loads of food is called ‘Prepping’ NOT ‘hoarding’ 🤭 Bear in mind also the possibility of self-isolation - you would be grateful for extra supplies 🙂
Good work short_bird 👏
Great work EnergyShifter 👏 ‘Free range’ 🤣
oh dear retiredinfrance ☹️ I have been lucky so far - just an hour or so when the forum went down 🙁 no explanation - I think someone kicked out the plug 😂 Well done on the decluttering 👏
I agree Primrose - definitely unfriendly ☹️See everyone later today

At this stage I think a bit of extra food in the cupboards might well be something that we could end up being grateful for so definitely taking that on board! Thanks for my second ⭐️ too! 😁
Something I have just discovered that may assist others - you can copy an emoji directly from a post by simply highlighting it and copying - then paste straight into your own post. That's a lot more user-friendly than the old forum was! (Obviously it does rely on being able to find a post with the relevant emoji - or does it? Might work from elsewhere too perhaps?)
Ditched a tube of makeup that had separated last night - I had resolved to shake it well and continue using it but decided that the separation had to be a sign of something unpleasant and my face would probably thank me for being decisive! I'm starting to get in mind things I might focus on for Friday as well now - there's a bookcase in the bedroom that I might clear, dust, and consider the contents of. I might also be able to do a bit of re-organisation I think and put the bookcase back in a more user-friendly position, we'll see. Also want to make sure that we watch at least one of the "to think about" DVD's over the weekend so that can either go onto the main shelf or get sent to the CS.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Missing from the "information superhighway" for a few days, but I've kept on with a small amount of decluttering:
Days 65-70- Frayed charger wire to bin
- Ebay items x 10 packaged and dispatched
- Leaky plastic drinks bottle to bin
- Broken glass jar (not broken on purpose I hasten to add) to recylcing
- Several kids clothes to CS bag
- 4 childrens book to CS bag
- Several small figure toys to CS bag (sick of standing on them)
MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......12 -
Only one more from me. Little one ripped her cardigan beyond repair so that went in the bin!
I have pretty much wound down to a halt until I can get a little more motivation. x

I have been a bit busy or asleep of late. I went to visit family at the weekend and managed to give away the last of the crocheted blankets I had made. They were very well recieved late Christmas presents for neices.
I have emptied three under bed storage boxes which are now in DD's newly decorated room She is home this weekend and hasn't seen it yet so I hope she is happy with it.
There are just a few finishing off jobs but I need to move onto the RoD as I am expecting family visits at Easter and would like it done. I stood in it yesterday and despaired but today I have boxes for sorting and will give it a good start.
Thanks for all the cheerleading Mrs SD and well done fellow decluterers/ I have just caught up with all the posts. This forum is very fast moving so I had over 100 to look at
