solved. even though the account was open she went back to "continue application" and the option to switch came back up.
how on earth do you start the switch?
OH has opened an account online but the whole process was so glitchty with freezing screens. anyway, the account is open and she is logged in but no option was ever given to switch probably due to glitches, but she can't see the option to switch either. please someone tell me there is an online method within the account as my OH hates calling financial institutions. the "4 minute wait" for live chat is now at 30 mins.0 -

Once you get the letter in the post with the code and apply it can we assume that the account is open and will rceive details in the post? A tad tiresome.Everyone seems to be having difficulties.0

This is nothing new, both myself and OH had the same thing happen when opening our first accounts.
The code comes in a few days, once you use it your account is open.1 -

I know that each bank has differing criteria when vetting an application but Virgin Money Current & Saving account have just declined my daughter's application even though she has an Experian score of 999, no debts and money to deposit!0
