these are the options given if i dont have my password. i cant see the tab you're referring to!

I had something similar. I was a long-term Clydesdale customer, fell out with them over a loan, went to the ombudsman and received compensation around 2015 and left. I now have a Virgin credit card.
Applying for the account, received the, you look familiar, I tried to log in with the virgin credit card details then called, to be told it was a Clydesdale profile not the Virgin one causing the problem.
I was then asked if I ever had a Clydesdale loan, and told they would need to refer to the product team to see if I qualified and get back to me. I haven't had a response.
It looks like they don't want me on the basis of a previous complaint. I'm not sure whether to be amused or annoyed.0 -

I was sent an authentication code in the post after applying online ( I used to have Yorkshire bank accs) .
Then resumed the application , but after entering customer number, 3 digits from my password and the text code they sent me, the page simply doesn't move forward (it's "working") - Has anyone else had this?
I telephoned Virgin, and eventually someone entered the authentication code and then promptly said I needed to upload ID ...
I then asked why I wasn't found electronically, and why they couldn't have asked for ID at the same time as sending the authentication code (which presumably in any case is done to prove ID) . And I have a Virgin savings acc with them.
The exchange got heated and she said someone from complaints would ring me
And reading this thread, it seems the norm for Virgin to be inefficient.
Is it worth the wine?

This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."2 -

The alcohol-based case is worth £180 (exc. delivery) and the alcohol free case is worth £75 (exc. delivery). Whichever you choose will be delivered free of charge.
Virgin wine offer
Out of curiosity I have just looked up the 15 bottles of wine included in the virgin current account offer incentive.
The offer states wine to the value of £180, on Virgin wines web site you can purchase the same bottles for £136, so not quite the offer quoted.
I take back my previous comments, I overlooked the fact that four of the wines are two bottles not one.
So in fact the wine is worth £182 via Virgin wines.
I must stop drinking this early in the evening.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.1 -
I wouldn’t get too hung up on the value of the wine. It’s not unknown for firms to have list prices that aren’t realistic in order to have things like 70% off sales or “£10k giveaway” and nobody is supposed to pay the list price. I’m not saying that’s what’s happening here (I don’t know enough about wine to even pretend I could tell), but I’m more interested in the taste than what the sticker says on these!2

I agree they might be £180 on paper but they are only "worth" the amount that they actually sell for.
Looks like I won't be getting any though - I put in an application the other day which was deferred, and ultimately declined. From what I've read here I don't think it's worth the hassle of trying to appeal their decision.0 -
