Virgin Money Current Account

VXman said:Got my virgin wines code today. This was my second Virgin account. I missed the switch deadline on my first account so I thought I'd try again. I asked customer service if I could get the wines on this second account as I missed the first and they said no. But clearly they were wrong.
Also I did not switch any direct debits from my donor account. I just set up the virgin account on 2 paypal accounts and transferred a few quid to each. These obviously counted as direct debits and clearly they don't need to come from the account you switch.
Worth trying a second time!!!0 -
For those who have successfully obtained more than one Virgin Money current account, perhaps more than two, how long have you waited from one successful application before applying successfully again if I may kindly ask please? I'm simply wondering whether the chances of a second or third etc. successful application are increased the longer you leave it between applications, and thus whether it's wise to allow at least 4 weeks say from a successful application before applying once more in order to increase the chances of the next application being successful?0

I do really like the app so far, but the brand is still a bit messy. Both my IBAN and BIC include York and when I was transferring money from my Santander account to my Virgin Money account, it said the bank was Yorkshire Bank. I know they are all the same banking group, but it would be nice for it all the match up.0

It appears as Clydesdale Bank on my accounts.2 -
The only reason I can think of for leaving time between applications is so that you don‘t get into a muddle with PINs. The PIN letter doesn‘t tell you which card the PIN belongs to. Mind you, if you have 2 accounts, it‘s easy enough to work out the correct pairing at any ATM.1
