I don't see that particular issue with my accounts, everything is nicely sorted in descending sequence. But I am generally not too impressed with the search - it can't touch the Lloyds search, for example. Like you, I am glad I am using VM for savings only - and even more glad they still pay 2%. So I will stop moaning now and say it's an all round brilliant account for my needs B)

I think it's pretty logical, it's a last working day of the month except August. No, I'm wrong, August is also logical as 31st was a bank holiday.

That won't explain the sequence in which the payments are shown. May the sequence is determined by [different] interest amounts?

If you search Gross Interest, does it list in chronological order?

No, not the interest amounts although that would be a curious choice for a default sort sequence.

I should have said that the initial issue I reported was on my iPad. I have now checked on my phone and that is in chronological order.

I then tried on my laptop on Google Chrome and the default three months if fine but if I choose 12 months it reverts to same illogical sequence.

Bizarrely, if I click on the arrow at the top of the date column, it still shows the same illogical sequence, ascending or descending.

It is not a problem but just another example of Virgin Money IT anomalies.

That's it! I can see the same weird, random sequence on my laptop, in Chrome or Edge, and the sort button does nothing to unscramble it. iPhone and iPad are showing chrono order.

Got my virgin wines code today. This was my second Virgin account. I missed the switch deadline on my first account so I thought I'd try again. I asked customer service if I could get the wines on this second account as I missed the first and they said no. But clearly they were wrong.

Also I did not switch any direct debits from my donor account. I just set up the virgin account on 2 paypal  accounts and transferred a few quid to each. These obviously counted as direct debits and clearly they don't need to come from the account you switch.

    Worth trying a second time!!!

Apologies if that has been asked before, has anyone had any issues with the savings pots within the Virgin Money savings account? You can create 'pots' for savings. Each month I allocate savings to 2 different pots via transfer from the current account.
Sometimes the allocation doesn't quite work and even though I've selected e.g. 'holiday' it'll then show in the balance as 'not in a pot'. So I then moved the money 'not in a pot' into the respective pots.

Then today it told me I had allocated more to my pots than I had in the actual account - almost looking like an overdraft, which I hope wasn't the case (can't have an overdraft on a savings account anyway can you?!). I assume because I had told it twice to put x amount in each pot but one didn't go through at the time. Seems a bit glitchy to me.
