My November 2020 update:
I managed to save £4,514 (almost half of which was interest on NS&I 3-year bonds, which have now matured - will we ever see 2.2% interest again??).
So far in 2020 I’ve saved £33,472.
My new grand savings total is £195,429I'd absolutely love to hit £200k this year - there is no chance of that with just one pay cheque to go, but I'm delighted with my progress. Lockdown has been very kind to us savings-wise, we've been lucky.

Can’t be long until the 2021 thread is announced. I’m sure it was early December last year the 2020 thread was created.
Big year for for us next year after extensive renovations since the summer. Time to save, save, and save.5 -
Just checking-in to see what the Totaliser spreadsheet is saying for everything saved since this thread started in 2012...and we're just £43k short of a cool Ten Million!! Can we get there before the end of 2020, people?

I’m also thinking about 2021 already, my targets going to be 15k. Must keep an eye out as I’d love the same number3

In the spirit of paying myself first, savings contributions for December are as follows:
DD JISA - £102
DS JISA - £102
Sharesave Scheme - £0
Sharematch Scheme - £30
Personal ISA - £383.75
September total - £617.75
2020 total - £8,500
So... I'm £3,500 off my target for 2020, with no more payslips left
It was always an ambitious target as I'm coming to the end of a whole house renovation which hasn't been cheap and was difficult to estimate, however hopefully with pretty much everything in the house now replaced - there shouldn't be many surprises next year!
I've got some bits selling on ebay which might mean I can make an additional top up before the end of 2020, so I won't use the update form until the month is out.
Although I missed my target, I end 2020 with no debt (other than mortgage), and with a S&S ISA that's just ticked over 5 figures which is nice to see!
This is the first year I've tracked my earnings/spend/savings in detail and I definitely feel like knowing the detail/data is helping me make better decisions. Far better knowing where I stand than assuming!
I hope others have had a good saving year and did better with their targets! I've been dipping in and out of the thread and there are some fantastic habits formed here!Save £12k in 2023 #51 - £20,411.96/£15k (136.08%)
Save £12k in 2024 #24 - £19,331.23/£20k (96.66%)
Save £12k in 2025 #53 - £12,395/£20k (39%)

Hi folks, I have been MIA from the forum for a wee while and not kept up with my monthly updates on here. Will head over to the forms to get up to date shortly. Great to see how everyone is doing on here and to see some regulars posting. Thanks for the update @tara747, you are one of the savers here that I find hugely inspiring. Well done on reaching the almost £200k mark. @geoffers4 thanks for the totaliser spreadsheet update. That's an unbelievable amount! @slowlyfading thanks for running the thread and apologies for not keeping up to date for the last few months.2

That's me updated the forms now and I think I have reached my target (will wait for final spreadsheet count). I see @tommyedinburgh has mentioned the 2021 challenge and I agree, I am up for it next year too. This challange has been a great motivator for inspiration for me. Please count me in for 2021 @slowlyfading if you decide to run the challenge again next year. I hope you do as I love being part of it.2
