Get out of there. She is using your money to pay for her lifestyle. How is she going to afford the council tax and licence when you move out.

She isn’t helping you she is trying to get free money out of you. Constantly changing what she wants and controlling what you spend your remaining money on.

Sounds like a narcissistic behaviour from her. It’s all about her not about helping you. If my child was on part time wage I wouldn’t dream charging so much from them.

You need your bus pass to get to work likely and also to get to interviews for new jobs. She isn’t helping you at all. Is there anyone you can stay with. Also with you saying your going to move and not do it makes her think she can play you even more.

Hang on how did you afford to pay £60 a week if £87.40 is half your monthly wage.

Fairly certain they simply mistyped and meant £87.40 a week, as that makes sense with all the other figures.
  • Terrible situation the OP is in. Really sad to read this. Must be awful to be in that environment at the moment. I hope it works out for you soon and that you manage to find a room to rent. Really think £60 a week was fair and should be supporting there child. Sounds like the mother is funding a lifestyle when she should be working towards supporting the transition to university, full time job, flying the nest. Best of luck OP.

It sounds like she will never be satisfied by what you give her financially, and will forever be asking for more and more.
It can't be a great environment for you to live in, I'd recommend moving out asap.

On top of that, she wants me to buy things for the house out of my own money, what am I paying board for then? She's also started complaining that I don't wake up early enough (I wake up at 9:30 everyday) but I'm not understanding this complaint lol, as long as she gets her money there should be no issue right? People around me have said she's bot treating me very well but I try to believe she doesn't mean it

We had a long discussion a few weeks ago and she said she didn't want me to leave...things improved for a bit but I feel like they're gonna go back to crap again pretty soon, this morning she yelled at me bc I never wake up before 9:30, I don't understand how that effects her, she gets her money from me regardless... my point is, she gets mad over every little thing so this whole thing with the money is super stressful, she said I have no right to be stressed.
  • Get out of there

Houseshares can be cheap, i pay £70 a week, all inclusive of water, gas, electric, internet, council tax and tv licence.

Ok its not amazing....but a better option than being homeless

That's just a parent thing and nothing at all to do with the money. Mine always thought I should be up at the crack of dawn because she was. Although given that many people have to be at work/college/whatever for 9am you can see their point.

Money aside, do you do your fair share of jobs around the house?

just be honest and say you are thinking of moving out. You're parents will either miss the money or they will miss you.
If they miss you they will come to an arrangement and if its just about money they will make you feel bad until you leave.
