Paying board

I didn't pay board this week as I payed board last week along with the council tax and tv license, she's said I now owe her £200 this week, which is my whole weeks wage + £25, I have to dip into my savings for the extra. I have no money0

Hi, I've been looking at flatshares and found a few that I like. I get paid in cash so I have no proof of income, can I still apply?
Why don't you have payslips and P60s? Even if you are paid in cash you should be receiving these unless you're getting paid cash in hand and not declaring your earnings to HMRC.0 -

Perhaps once you understand your options you can decide which the lesser evil is, to stump up the extra money or to tell her to poke it and run the risk of being evicted.
OP is a working adult with no stated vulnerabilities. The council will signpost but is extremely unlikely to find them a bed.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Do you have any relatives who could let you stay with them?
If not, you may find a place as a lodger faster than a flatshare.0 -

If you are homeless now, as in when you present yourself to the council, you qualify for emergency housing. Being a working adult with no stated vulnerabilities would not stop the OP from qualifying if the mother chucked the OP out making the OP homeless.

£240 a month.
x 2 = £480 a month.
My bills are roughly are month is £400, includes mortgage, council tax, gas, electric and water.
Sounds about right to me .
A family member paying lodge shouldn't be contributing to the mortgage unless they own part of the property.
I would say even paying half the Bill's is questionable and I would only ever charge a family member the extra cost of the Bill's if they were living with me.0 -

Exactly, that was the point I was making when they said £60 is cheap, it's not, maybe posted it wrong by saying it's about right.
Myself:
TV licence, water, broadband - all fixed price no matter if someone else lived here, same cost.
Gas, electric - may go up but can't see it doubling up.
Council tax - yes lose the 25% discount, however splitting this 50/50 is cheaper! Random figure to make it easier, £100 a month normal rate, 25% discount = £75 a month. Back to 100%, splitting it 50/50 = £50 a month, you saved £25!0
