Oh silly me I did forget something! I have finally managed to cash out on YouGov and Onepoll! Taken a while to get there but that is £80 that has gone to the boiler fund which has to be the priority as chances are I will be working from home until the new year......2

Missing your Friday updates, how are you getting on?Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1

Good Morning all!!!
Firstly massive apologies to anyone who reads my rambling (especially you @Drawingaline) as I have been MIA, initially it was not through want of trying.....work was absolutely manic and I just didn't have the time to get on here during work hours and I just couldn't bring myself to fire up the old lappy after hours. Then I was off work last week and a couple of times thought I'd pop on but couldn't summon the enthusiasm
However today I is back with a little spring in my step, can see I have loads of catching up to do but now i'm on I've realised I've missed catching everyones updates so today (work permitting) I will be randomly commenting on everyone I follow where appropriate and probably generally making a nuisance of myself
While I have been away I haven't slipped I promise!! As you can see from signature I have managed to send extra over to the current target loan and if that stays the same I have four payments left on that which will mean that one is done and dusted 2 months earlier than I anticipated "yippee!".
@Drawingaline I have just spied your signature which looks like you have exiting news over on your diary.....I will be heading there as soon as I finish this update!
On the other good news (and I will admit to being stupidly proud of myself for such a small thing) I have had my new boiler fitted all from money I have saved, no credit, no borrowing of anyone to do it and paid without suffering small heart failure or panic that I won't have enough money to see me through the month!!!! The cost was £1k in total and I now have hot water and heating without having to beg/plead/smack the boiler to get it to co-operate
Weightwise I have been up and down and not made any further progress, last week i'd lost 2 lbs this week i'd put it back on so no worse off than I was but no better, I appear to be a little stuck so making a bigger effort this week to try and get some proper forward momentum to get rid of the last bit.
My dad finally got home two weeks ago although I've not seen him because they self isolated for 2 weeks to be on the safe side as the plane they came back on clearly hadn't been cleaned, on the plus side he also hasn't become ill and in the grand scheme of things we haven't seen each other for four and half months so another couple of weeks was never going to make a difference.
Pony and moggies are all good, possibly will have an issue with the ponies owner that may crop up as she is just not being consistent with days/what is done with him and stuff and while I am fully aware that I need to let some of it go because not everyone is as ridiculously structure minded as me when days are continually changing and changed at short notice it does become a problem as it affects my plans, so we will see with that.
Still working from home, we know that September is the earliest anyone will be back in the office and that hasn't changed, managed to redecorate my spare bedroom so that looks all nice and clean and tidy, bathroom is next on the list, and big savings plan is either for a new bed or a new sofa, both needed but cant decide which I need/want more.....oh decisions decisions.
Hmm considering I've been away for a few weeks I thought i'd have more to reportah well, im glad I'm not coming back with a tale of woe and can actually report progress. Every effort will be made to resume proper full service and a Friday update should come, might not be much there but I will do one!
Happy Tuesday all, hope its nice and sunny with you guys too

The debt is coming down nicely and fantastic news on getting the boiler replaced with savings. Both me and my daughters keep lists of what needs doing/replacing and save for it in order of priority so in terms of your bed/sofa which one needs replacing first? If there is no difference in need between them maybe pick the one you use most (presumably the bed?).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I agree with ES re saving for a bed/sofa. Do you need a whole new bed, or would a mattress work initially? Or is it the bedframe and a mattress on the floor work for a few months? If it's bed frame and mattress, then save for this first, a good night's sleep helps everything else seem better 😄
Congratulations on paying more off the target loan and paying for a new boiler!!! Having hot water and heat is such a necessary luxury, you don't realise how it impacts your life until it isn't there at your fingertips 😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2 -
Thanks both
Unfortunately it is the bed frame and mattress that needs replacing but doesn't stop me getting a good sleep at the moment, the a supporting leg in the middle snapped last year and it is currently propped up with books that I don't really likeand the mattress while comfy does have an indentation on the side I always sleep (just realised writing that I can probably turn it around haha).....sofa is much the same, has just lost all of its support and while not uncomfy its not the most comfortable either if you know what I mean......
I think I shall save (and save and save) and when I have enough for one or the other i'll decide which is most desperate then.....ideally though if I do the sofa I want to do the living room carpet as well.....hmmm
You are correct @Drawingaline, for the last few weeks I haven't had hot water (unless the boiler was being particularly nice) so being able to just turn the tap is amazing

Happy sunny Friday everyone
This week has been strange, it seems to have gone really slowly but yet I am shocked its Friday, very weird
Hmm not an awful lot to report though, waiting for a cash out on PA but want everything pending to clear first, did get a cashout on Shopp** but will wait till I've done PA as well before sending that to either target loan or savings......with MOT coming up in August might just be savings just in case …...
Hoping weather stays dry at least for the weekend as I finally got the masonry paint needed to so the second coat on my garden walls so would like to get that done this weekend, don't want to get bathroom paint until I've MOT'd the car just to make sure I've got all available funds so needs to be a do stuff outside weekend.
How very boring I've gone alreadybut I am taking boring as being good, while I would like good news to report all the time at least I haven't got back news!
Have a fab weekend whatever you are doing

And we are at Monday again! Nothing exciting to report, pretty standard weekend for me, horse and house work mainly, Couldn't paint the garden walls as it rained over night both Friday and Saturday night and I wasn't going to risk painting for it to be washed away! Did have a nice ride yesterday with the boy though and got to give him a good blast which I think was needed for both of us
Still waiting on over £5 to move from pending to approved on PA so can't cash out there yet and make any additional payments. Lost the 2lbs I had put back on and whilst i'd been good all week I did really really fancy a bacon buttty Saturday and gave into it, it was delicious
So time to pay attention to work for a bit, hopefully catch up on whats been going on with people since Friday at some point today and just enjoy looking out at a nice sunny day even if I cant go play in it until I finish work!
