    Its Friday!!!!
Another strange week where its seems to have gone really slowly but i'm shocked again that its Friday :joy: I do think of that as a good thing though!
I have been doing a little bit of work on where I stand with debts with this and tracked to what my highest point was last year (May 19) and where I am now, felt like I needed a little bit of an incentive, not that anything is slipping but just to show myself where I am and I was happy to see that I am 50% cleared (well just over at 50.38% to be exact!). I think I am actually a bit further ahead but I am taking the figures that are on my credit report so some of them are not fully updated with the last couple of payments but regardless it gave me a little boost!
The biggest problem is that old (old old) credit card which was over £11k and only having £25 per month paid off it, it is now only just over £9k and payments have increased from last month so it will be nice to see that coming down more and more. If I take that out of the equation then it would be £1100 but I cant take it out so now I need to have a think of how to reduce that the most...…..hmmm thinking time :confounded:
What I do know is I will get there, I haven't had to take on any more credit in the last year, I haven't cut back to bare minimum to do so, I still have a life where I do what I enjoy but I can probably try and free up a little bit extra to get this gone quicker. I haven't done a new debt free date as that makes me sad when I see the dates but seeing numbers go down makes me happy so focusing on that for the remainder of the year, im thinking that any and all extra monies earned from surveys and what not will be applied to this pesky old credit card as every little will help. We will see though......
Other than that not an awful lot to report, weather has been a little bit rubbish the last few days with me but the sun is out and shining today :sunglasses: yay! Fingers crossed it stays and we don't have any rain over night (I am aware not so long ago I was desperate for some rain as the fields were suffering, now its the opposite and the fields are getting churned up as its been so wet! (I know I know theres no pleasing some people :joy: )) as I want to get out riding this weekend and I really really want to strim the garden and paint the walls neither of which I can do if they are damp grrr.
That's about it from me, feels like that's the longest Friday update I've managed for while, sorry for the rambling
Hope everyone is feeling good and doing ok, have a great weekend all

Well done-over half way there is a fantastic achievement 💪

Is the interest frozen on the credit card? You said the payments have gone up, is it worth a call to them to see if they can help? The worst that could happen is they say no!

Hope you have a great weekend and that you get some good rides in 😁

    thanks @EchoB
Have had no interest added on the credit card for years, maxed it out well and truly and had a £25 a month payment plan with them for years (and then continued to get into debt with other things, light bulb wasn't even plugged in at that point let alone being anywhere near being able to flash  ). It was my decision to increase the payments, its out of what I was paying to my fiend loan which I had diverted to savings as I knew I needed the new boiler (now done) but before it became money to fritter I wanted to give it a purpose so its off to that card it went!
It just annoys me seeing my credit utilisation rate such a high percentage of what my limits are because it counts as credit utilisation even though it doesn't get included in my available credit because its been a payment plan for so long so that's why I want it down too, not that I want extra credit available its just one of those things that make me think grrrrrrr. Its the one that will take me the longest as its the higgest debt by far but once the remaining 2 loans are done and dusted i'll be throwing another £150 per month at it and then I should see real movement on it.
Other than sitting there making my credit utilisation look huge its not really affecting me but I would like to see it gone so that alllllllll my money is then mine haha!

It’s frustrating when you have a really big balance-my loan is £11k and it will take a while to disappear. Can you set yourself milestone targets where you can celebrate eg every 5 or 10% marker? That’s what I’m doing.

I can’t wait until all my money is mine 😂

Over halfway is a great place to be though! Just remember how well you are doing :-)

That's a good little thought @EchoB, I think i'll wait till my next report update, use that figure for the card and then do a 10% marker off that, anything to help make that one look like its progressing in some form haha!

    Morning all!
Monday update which will not contain much in the way of movements on either £s or lbs unfortunately :disappointed: both have remained static...
The most exciting thing is I finally managed to put the second coat of paint on my outside walls.....considering I did the first coats in may it was about time I got them done  (in my defence it did take a while to get the masonry paint for the second coats...)
Other than that there really isn't much to report, should be able to cash out PA some point this week but trying to get new log in details for the old old old old credit card so I can make extras off that at the moment so target loan wont move until payday.
Hope you've all had a nice weekend, no doubt I will find out as I start reading diaries
