    Good morning everyone!
Welcome to what is possibly the most pointless update …...I have nothing to report.  The lb I put on has gone off again but nothing extra, no news money wise and didn't do anything other than the bare basics this weekend (oh and riding of course) :disappointed:
I am racking my brain trying to come up with something exciting/newsworthy/even bad but there is nothing, but I guess no news is good news........
Hope some of you have had a more newsworthy weekend with some fun thrown in, lots of updates on here that I can see so best get reading.....
Have a good week all

Just came across and had a read. You’ve gone brilliantly so far. Keep up the good work!

Are you finding you have more spare cash during lockdown? How’s the debt free date looking? I get the impression you are ahead of the curve.

    August 2019: £28.8k

    November 2020: £0 (0% interest)

thanks @ryanm8655, the spare cash I've had (yes there has been some) has been split between buying paint and bits to do stuff around the house which is well overdue, trying to give what I can to a local animal charity as this is hard times for them as normal fundraising isn't available and shuffling some over to savings for a new boiler which will be needed for this winter. I think I am ahead of the curve but haven't sat and worked out dfd for some time, i'm hoping I've take a few months off but will try and get that done next week to update fully  Don't think I've read your diary, will try and have a little nosy.....
Not really been on here much this week, lots of bits in work to keep me occupied, so have some catching up to do, apologies if I spam my regulars with comments!
Not a whole lot to report other than current target loan MAY get paid off this month, I put in a complaint to them some time ago which they wouldn't consider until I escalated to FOS, then they offered to reduce to the loan amount only and waive interest if I withdrew my case with the FOS which I did. Then when I had the update from them about sum remaining after last months payment it was waaaayyyy above what I thought it would be so questioned it and when looking through my file on them I came across there offer to reduce again and questioned them, they wanted confirmation email from FOS that they had closed their file which I have now got and forwarded on so just waiting for the confirmation that all interest has been dropped which should leave me with just one payment left, funnily enough now they are going to have to do something they aren't being that quick to respond...…….
If they do reduce down (which there shouldn't be a problem with) then I will have £100 to put towards the next target debt but I have to have a careful think as I will 100% need a new boiler this winter, there is no way my current one will make it through another winter, it took enough coaxing everyday last year so I may have to split that for a few months so I can get the boiler money together quickly to get it done (hoping there might be some deals just before summer ends that will work out cheaper) or I may just not increase the payment to the next one and if I can save an extra £100 a month just make an additional payment at the end of the month, oh decisions decision......
Weather looks hit and miss here for the weekend, I suspect it will be raining between 9.30 and 10:30 tomorrow though as I have a riding lesson (as I've got my finances more stable I allow myself that treat once a month as its good for me and the horse but if my money is tight one month I wouldn't do it (incentive to stay on track)) and other than that my weekend will be dictated by what I can do either outside if dry or inside id wet.
Hope you've all got more exciting plans than me so I can be jealous when I read through   Have a good one everybody!

Just replied to your comment on my diary about riding lessons 😂 and I always love to read posts on my diary so never feel you are spamming.

Our boiler still isn't right, must ring the plumber agin next week to try to pin him down. It's so frustrating finding a good tradesperson. He is good, but always so so busy. Because he is good I imagine!

It's always worthwhile asking around for recomendations for gas registered plumbers. Ours is a one man band, but installs boilers, he just joins up with another one man band for bigger jobs and is registered and although I couldn't get an installment plan for it, it was a decent deal.

    Good morning all!
Sorry for the tardiness, I have signed in a few times but not had enough time to 1) update and 2) catch up on anyone else's diaries…….so update from me today, more effort to be made to catch up on all others!
Moneywise, the current target loan came back and confirmed that they would now reduce to the amount of the original loan so I have 1 payment of £55 left on that which will go on payday next week, straight in the "yippee" pot! Made the decision on the extra monies, for the time being I have to put them to savings so I can get a new boiler, hopefully with what I already have, the £200 plus I will have to come from the L0qbox that I opened last year to help with credit file and this extra money it will only be a couple of months until I have what I need and then it can go back to the debts. @Drawingaline I have a friend of my brothers that will do install the new boiler (all registered) I just need to buy it and I think he'll charge around £200 to fit so i'm looking at around £1k to £1.2k I think, I don't need a massive output boiler as its only me and not a huge house
Experian update this morning and for the first time since I started checking over a year ago I have moved from very poor to just poor :joy: I know the scores aren't everything but when you've been as low as me its just confirmation that you are tackling everything the right way and starting to get in control, another little bit for the "yippee" pot!
@EchoB I was lucky with my lesson last week, it was dry and ponio did so well, I think we were both pleased with ourselves.  Weather was just plain wet all yesterday and again this morning, looks better for the weekend though so hopefully will get out both days with him, not complaining though as the ground needed it so badly.
Diet took an absolute tumble last week, I really don't know what was the matter with me but I abandoned all hope and boy did I pay for it on Mondays weigh in :disappointed: however I have been super strict this week and have already seen the extra lbs off so hopefully will actually have a proper reduction this coming Monday and not just a yoyo back to where I was...…..also has an impact on my spends as I just bought junk last week which is not good so tighter now till payday than I have been for a few months, my fault thought though so I have to accept, move on and behave!
I don't think there is anything else exciting/news worthy to report......
Hope everyone else is ok, I must must must get to reading some diaries today!

Fab news on the loan! And it's always great when you know tradespeople. My 15yrold wants to be a plumber, if he succeeds that's us sorted 😂

Thanks @Drawingaline ! Absolutely encourage that, free trade for life
I'm really not doing well a getting on here lately, busy work days and no matter how much in the mornings I think "i'll jump on tonight for a bit" I can never bring myself to reopen the laptop, however I think I have a quieter day today so hopefully can catch up with everything I've missed since last week...….finger crossed!
The good news is it was payday yesterday so target loan 4 is now settled, yay!!! bad news is the 2 remaining ones are biggies, boo!
I will be putting the extra to my boiler fund for the next couple of months just to make sure I can have heating this winter and then I will be increasing the payments to current target loan so it will go faster and just to tick it over any extra I make from surveys will go against it, I have jiggled the budget a little and can make a donation to the animal charity out of my normal budget which is what I was trying to get to anyway so I may as well start now.
Not an awful lot more to report ….oo actually I did get a lb off weight wise this week so feel like i'm back in control of my munching properly again now woo hoo! It has been very warm the last couple of days so not been able to do anything much with the horse and even the moggies were struggling in the heat yesterday, it appears to have broken overnight though and we had a good storm (not that i saw it as storms never wake me up! :joy: ) so should be cooler today and I'll have happier animals all around.

Oh I forgot as well that I finally got log in details for my old CC that has been paid at £25 per month for who knows how long, long ago defaulted and no interest but I want it gone so have increased the payment on that to £100 a month so that will trip down quicker now, a lot to go but I am seeing all the progress I've made, "yippee" pot is filling up nicely.

So on with some work quickly and then try and jump back on here, hope everyone is ok

Good news about the current target loan!

    Hope work is calming down.

well done on getting into the old CC website, £100 a month will certainly make a dent

I hope you’ve had some more decent rides

    Morning morning all!
    Friday is here again yay!
Work is still busy and I still have nothing overly exciting to report, how boring my diary is becoming. All bills paid for this month which is good and allows me then have clear sight of my monies that are left.
I have a chap coming to quote on the boiler replacement today, I have seen a boiler that is a good price and suitable for my needs so he is just going to quote on replacing the boiler not the cost of a boiler too, I discovered my brother has a trade discount at the place I want to get the boiler from so that will be utilised
Weight wise I had another 2lb off this week, getting close to where I want to be now but not sure how well I would have done this week...….had a couple of socially distanced dates (walking with a coffee outside) but the knock on effect is I haven't had time to have tea before I've gone and have resorted to a sandwich and crisps :disappointed: On the plus side I've racked up four and half hours extra walking I wouldn't normally have done so hoping it balances out
Weather with me is looking a little bit (a lot!) damp on the weekend so I know that I will have to crack on with finishing off my back bedroom, having got half way through it I need to finish the painting now so I can put it back together properly! Not sure how much riding I'm going to get in this weekend, it does depend on what the weather actually does ……..
Hmmm I really can't think of anything else going on with me, everything is ticking along nicely (very worrying!) …..oo there is a good chance I will actually get my dad home next week! After 4 months its looking likely the flights will actually run next week so i'm keeping my fingers crossed
Well that's kind of it from me, appoligies for the boring update, I did have a quick peep at a couple of diaries yesterday and everyone else seems to be having a lot more going on that me
Have a lovely weekend all
