    Happy Thursday all!
Payday for me which includes bonus which has been snaffled away into savings for now to avoid any temptation if my spending account looks remarkably good
Spent a few days thinking what do i want the most out of some of it and have decided on the fencing in my garden, its been up for years and if there are high winds a panel or two comes loose and i end up having to screw them back in so have asked a friend of mine to pop over to give me a quote. A little lazy as it is something i could do myself if i got all the stuff but my reasoning is it will take me a few days to replace it all on my own whereas i need it done in one go ideally due to the pooches so justified, i was going to ask him for a quote to to the whole garden and told myself off for that haha, i am more than capable of doing the majority of sorting out the grass and stuff
Only two payments left on current target loan, yes i could pay it all off today but that seems to be a bit of a waste of my extra monies when there are only two payments left and they are already budgeted for and my budget hasnt caused  me any issues for months.
Then all thats left is my old old old old credit card which is coming down nicely and i have now managed to increase the monthly payments correctly (and checked this morning and the new increased payment has been taken) so i will keep squirreling away to a lump sum for it and just let the payments keep coming off for now. Not sure whether i will track it one here as its just been ticking away in the background for so long now. I am considering moving the money that is currently going to the last target loan to it when the last two payments have been paid but also thinking that i may just transfer that to my savings and put it towards future projects, oo decisions decisions
Everything else is good, struggling to believe i have only had the pooches 3 weeks tomorrow, they have settled in so well and new routines are already embedded in me it seems like they've been here much longer  now if only one of them would stop getting so excited when the cat appears...........
Just realised i havent updated my weight efforts for a while, mainly because i was in and out of the previous diet ( a week of bang on it and really good and then id chuck everything out the window and go nuts) and kinda got to a stagnant place however without really trying or paying attention i have managed to go 5lbs down the last 2 weeks which i am putting down to having the distraction of the doggies so im less inclined to boredom munch
Oof that is a bit of an update for me although its nice i had something to actually say for a change!
Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the fact that days are getting longer and longer, spring is definitely here yay!

Well done on all of the above,  Glad the mutts are settling in well.  Personally I'd put the loan payments to the card and get it done with but that's just me.

I think I would want the card gone. How long will it take with and without the extra funds to it? May help you decide.

    Happy Friday all!

So this is an update and an end to my diary.........

I have paid off the remaining £220 of the one last outstanding loan so my days of payday/short term loans have gone, i have savings and am finding i have money left at the end of each month. Yes i do have the old old old old credit card left but that will be gone by the end of this year between monthly payments and the money i am squirreling away to pay off as a bulk.

i want to say thank you to everyone who has supported/given advice and generally just read along with my random posts and everyone whos diaries i follow, you have all helped me with this journey.

What i have found though is the more control i have got the less time i am finding to get on here to read and update mainly because i dont need to be so focused on my finances any more (dont get me wrong i am in total control and check my bank balance daily!!) its just i dont have anything exciting to update on a day to day/week to week basis.

from where i was when i started this (panicking that i wouldnt make it to the end of the month) to where i am now is a huge turnaround and its because of everyone on here so thank you thank you thank you

i hope everyones journeys continue and you all get there, i may pop on when that dratted credit card is gone just to say that i am totally totally debt free but otherwise this is bye from me
