Oo didn't realise it had been so long since I had posted.....oops!
Never fear though I haven't gone off the rails, everything is under control and I think that's part of the reason I am not relying so much on my diary. Money is still all under control, paid last week so last target loan is down with a maximum of 3 payments left.
Had good news this week and had a nice bonus confirmed from work (will be paid in this months pay) and an almost £700 pay rise which all helps, plan for the pay rise is to increase my salary contribution as I currently manage well without that little bit extra per month so better to stash it away for my old age
Have many plans of what I want to do with my bonus (too many if I'm honest haha!) but I want to stash most of it so need to prioritise what I want done the most, I suspect it will be the painting of the outside of the house and a new fridge freezer...…..but depending on the cost I would like to try and get a new carpet for the living room but may have to just continue to save for that.
On other news (far more exciting than the bonus if I'm honest!) I am hopefully getting two little rescue dogs this week, due a visit and if all is well they will stay with me from then or it may take another visit.
While I didn't really have any plans to get two my aim has always been to be provide a good home to an older dog that perhaps would get over looked otherwise, the rescue I've been applying to contacted me about this pair and after hearing their story I couldn't say no, exactly what I wanted to do when rehoming a rescue so I'm very much hoping they like me and want to stay! its been hard working this week with fingers, legs, toes and eyes crossed that it works out
Time to try and catch up on others diaries now...…...hope everyone is good though!

What fantastic news about the dogs! I am so jealous and would love one but unfortunately hubby has a real phobia after being very badly bitten as a child. Fingers crossed it all goes well, what a brilliant way of proving that sticking to a budget and paying off debt works.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2

They were quite happy when they came here so they stayed and have spent the weekend settling really wellcurrently snoozing under a blanket on the sofa after morning walks and breakfast! small issue with the cat over the weekend where they were just too excited to see him which panicked him a bit but after putting them behind their barrier he got on with munching his food and peeking at them, so need a few more introduction but he's in his feral mode at the moment so not around much and has just been in over night the last two nights but he'll be fine.
so there is definitely a new line on my monthly spreadsheet to cover the dogs haha but that is a happy line to add

@Drawingaline it is awesome having the two, although two weren't my plan i'm very glad that I decided that yes I could give them a good home, they are grumpy this morning though as I took them out in the rain
on an mse note I have been good and used my works benefits to order their food now which will give me cashback and working it out it is cheaper per pouch (before cashback considered) than buying smaller boxes locally so I am being sensible haha

Good Morning MSE world!
I am at the middle of my pay month, all bills paid and money is ok even with extra spends on stuff for the little pooches which weren't planned and got in advance of their arrival (different food as was told they were on one and got that and they didn't seem fussed so tried them on other stuff and they wolfed it down, coats as the rain came hard and being little and older things though it was better to give them a bit of protection) so i'm taking it as a win at the moment haha
Looking forward to this pay day though as bonus will be paid and I can enjoy moving that into savings and finally plotting what I want/need done big project wise for some of it.
Hope all is well with people though, reading through the diaries I follow it appears to be

So very pleased for you. Hope they get along with the cat soon. Enjoy the joys of dog hair and doggy farts, then they look at you in disgust as if it wasn't them!
