I think the rule with head injuries is that (if you cant get the stubborn swines to a dr) if he has a lump on his head (the swelling is outward) there is much less risk than if there is no swelling (then the swelling is likely inside the head). Head wounds bleed like the devil!. Even worse than nose bleeds, and I have been terrified by some of my boys' efforts. You must have been petrified.

Hi am truly struggling to buy gifts, 11 I have to get! managed to get 2 in town this morning. Off on 2. expedition now criteria - need to fit in hand luggage so small and no liquids, also cost should be minimal am aiming for under a 10 er, and also I am trying to avoid ridiculous plastic things! It's mostly for young folks moving out of home or studying - so will go look for nice coffee/spices, tin opener, seeds for garden (for sister wit revamped garden) etc but oh my they are all very independent anc critically slight overly developed beings!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

I'm actually considering going to bed and not getting up. There doesn't seem to be swelling of any kind and looking at it I think it's just a scalp wound. Quite a big cut though. I've managed to clean the door and the walls but I think the carpet might be beyond help. Bought a little rug to cover it up meantime. Going to have to go now and wash the bedding. Luckily that's not too bad as I put towels under his head.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Foodbank/charity donation - all donations now done.
Eat well - have done well today, protein packed breakfast and a healthy lunch. I won't feel so guilty about over indulging if I carry on like this for the next few days! :rotfl: have cooked some veggie curry in my slow cooker today and now have a meat version on the go for OH.
Savings/debt repayment - done.
Treat yourself - my treat today was an afternoon nap, fell asleep on the sofa for an hour.
Invitations - all done and under budget.
Very merry Christmas - got another surprise little gift from a lady who's dogs I walk when I can, again very unexpected and a sweet gesture. Have to do my final wrapping today. I'm missing one gift that should've arrived on Thursday, will have to see if it turns up in time. Also put the replacement lights on the tree so it finally looks Christmassy!
Exercise - went to a boxing class this morning and then walked my friend's dogs. Definitely going to be aching again tomorrow but I enjoyed the workout.
Fun - boxing was fun, I didn't fancy it when I first woke up but once I was there I enjoyed myself.

Toni's friend, sorry to hear about your OH's fall. Hope he is ok. And I hope that things generally pick up for you and your family very shortly!
Nothing spent today, so NSD 6 (I think, will check) Actually 7 :T
But I have done an Icyland order. Not counting that as a spend today, as they don't take the money until the morning of the day they deliver, which will be tomorrow. I will still need some fresh stuff, plus things that Icyland don't stock (they are pretty limited I find), but I will be able to walk into town with my trolley and get it, to avoid the horrible traffic.0 -
Toni'sFriend - hope his head is better.
Been out and about a bit today, it is very busy on the roads and all a bit frantic. Ran with DH first thing and walked the dog up a big hill later in the day so plenty of exercise had. Called at Sainsburys for a pack of their sliders for DH, we couldn't get them anywhere else but DD and myself do have a pack of jackfruit ones. DH also bought a BN bobble hat in a charity shop.
DD came home from work with a £6 pack of M&S Frankincense & Myrhh pot pourri which she was given, this is now residing in a large bowl on my hearth.
About to clean the kitchen then it's pj's and a glass of red or 2.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Today I am grateful for waking up at a decent time, for getting dd up and out and about and getting stuff done, for the library, for a wide choice of food to eat, for not getting soggy whilst out and about, for dd's friend's arm not being broken -she has one of those attractive nhs brown stiff plastic + velcro splint thingies instead, for taking 2 bags to the Sally Army, for dd feeling really festive, for having about 10 hours of WSM to watch at my leisure!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Much love Toni'sfriend - you really have had a rubbish time of it recently.
Struggling to feel festive at all but there's still time yet. I had planned to spend yesterday afternoon wrapping presents, watching Christmas films and drinking. Didn't quite going to plan because I fell asleep on the sofa and missed most of the afternoon. Ah well. Not giving up
