    Blimey.

I've just seen the news and I'm really worried about Gillian Gibbons.

I don't understand the big hoo ha I must admit, but I'm scared about what will happen to her - and she looks like such a nice lady in all the pics I've seen.

From what I understand it's fine to call a child Muhammad so why not a bear - especially as it was the childreen who made that decision to call him that probably naming him after the boy in the class called Muhammad the news said.

    :T Cheers honeybun, :T

I keep thinking it's a really long way off - and then I think of how quickly this year has passed (another sign of getting old!) and I thnk we'll be there in no time.

At this point, with you lot behind me, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it all. :j

Well, touch wood I'm still on ebay, I've got some stuff listed, I'm tempted to list a load more seeing as it's 10p day but I'll be so Peed off if I spend all day on it only to have them throw me out again. I've got an absolute ton of stuff to sell too.

Why would they throw you off Toto?

Jacks, you are a star. And I agree with the others, matched betting is a good income and SS is fab at guiding people through it.

Just a thought, did you do the no deposit bingo sites? Some MSE-rs made quite a bit on that

It's a long story gem but basically, back in August I started selling off some of our sound equipment. A lot of this is high value stuff, but the business wasn't using it so I put a sale page on our website.

Then I thought I might as well see what I could sell through ebay, so I listed a bunch of it and sold a bit. Anyway, one day a guy we kind of know from a competitor decided he wanted to buy our amp rack which was £4,000. He called me and asked how I wanted him to pay, I gave him the options but he asked if we take credit cards. I said no so he said, if I cover the fees can I pay through paypal as on the website. I agreed, he didn't want to come here with £4,000 in cash and he wanted the amps that day because he needed them on an event. So, all was good, he paid and collected the amps.

Suddenly, paypal limited my account because of this random transaction. So, I went through this process of sending them all sorts of ID, details of the item, buyers details etc. They asked him for a written statement saying he had indeed collected the item and could verify my account of what happened. All was good, they lifted the limit on my account and things were back to normal. The next day ebay closed me down, cancelled all of my auctions and booted me out. No explaination, nothing

I emailed them (there is no customer service phone number) and finally after 2 weeks of ignoring my emails I got a list of ID etc they wanted. No problem, sent them passport, driving license, bank statement, council tax bill thinking that was that. Then they replied and said they wanted to see a genuine receipt for every single item I had ever sold on ebay since I registered in 2001. I have sold over 1000 things, loads of household stuff, obviously impossible to provide the receipts for, I can't even remember what the majority was. So we were stuck, they won't lift the ban and I can't provide the info.

Reading between the lines, I think, ebay think I avoided fees on this amp rack because it was listed and I closed the auction. They saw a paypal transaction for it and thought a buyer had seen it on ebay and we had done a swap of details and avoided fees. This isn't true but as they won't tell me what the real issue is, I can't do anything about it.

So, now if I register they close me down right away. I've recently re-registered as my business rather than as a person, so I'm hoping I can sell the rest of the stuff but I don't hold a lot of hope since I had to give them my debit card for the fees. Fingers crossed though please.

Paypal are fine, my account is running and happy. That's the stupid thing, Paypal are owned by ebay, one thinks I'm great, the other thinks I'm some sort of scamming monster

Weird isn't it. Guess it's because of the large value of the item
