ref the tesco stacking erm mine always do this anyway? Didn't think they had to bring it in?

ref the water, maybe it is just a fuse that has blown?

lol about the tap though, I know it isn't really funny but it did make me laugh....

just think you can go to the M&S sale and feel justified in buying a couple of bras in the sales!

    Thanks Chev, :D

I think was pretty funny when I came away holding the tap - I tried to just put it back on a couple of times cos my brain failed to properly compute what had happened. :rotfl: :o

I think I managed to break it because icy cold water was still cascading over me so I kept trying to turn the cold tap off - but it already was off it was the water from the supposedly hot tap that was freezing my [strike]ti[/strike] bits off. :D

I like the idea of buying a properly fitted bra from M&S though - these £5 Avon specials don't ever seem to last me very long.

    Cheers honey!

Then, the Tesco delivery came and the delivery guy just stacked it all up on the step and watched me carry it into the kitchen, unpack the pallets and bring them back - which set off my asthma - which was already a bit worse because of the cold snap. (Not being able to breathe makes me feel pathetic and feeble which I don't like at all. Plus I thought it was their job to bring it in - so the fact that he clearly had no intention of doing so just makes me feel annoyed! )

Complain to tesco - they advertise the service.

THEN (yeah there's more! :D  ) I've been baking and needed to put the hot water on for an hour to wash up and I thought a nice steamy shower might help my chest as well... But when I tried there was no hot water and I went to listen to the immersion and it's not making any heating water up noises so I think it's kaput. :(

Do you have a little box on the wall near your boiler where the cable goes in? Does it have a light? Is it lit? Any RCCBs tripped?

Oh and (last one I promise :p ) in my attempt to get warm water out of the taps I managed to um.....pull one off in my hand...and I think that might be broken too.

Re the Tesco order mine always (2 years now) leaves the pallets at the door and I carry the bags through to the kitchen is this not the norm

Aww massive squidgy hugs for you! ***** boilers (see diary!) - just hope you dont get the plumber I did initially! The bra thing - invest in a god bra - cheapies just dont last so not actually worth the moey - get a good one, pay a few quid more & you'll be wearing it next summer - esp if youve got an ample cleavage like mine! We need some support!!
Possibly you're just tired & doing alot so its all got on top of you. You've set a hefty target so some day (even without hefty target) you're gonna feel rubbish - esp with taps coming off but if you freeze your t**** off you'll be able to go braless?!!
My prescription is give that cats some prawns and chill with nice wine or cuppa and cat will come for nice satisifed with prawns & "I love you mummy" cuddle & equilibrium will be restored - plus get an early night & tomorrow all will seem more manageable! Plus watch todays come dine with me, see barking Welsh "psychic" woman and you'll realise your life isnt that bad after all. Just think you could be her, wth no social skills & a total inability to cook even the most basic of meals :)

    Thank you sweetie!

It's turns out it's not too scary to fix it ourselves so we're going to have a go!

It's just as well you've wished me luck - I'm probably going to need it!

    Hiya hon,

Well as ZTD says they promise to deliver to your fridge door - and my fridge is not on the pavement or my front door step!

The only thing that's stopped me ringing to clarify is that I don't want to get the fella into trouble, but I would like them to confirm whether they're s'posed to help me or not cos I find it kind of embarassing while they stand and watch me lug it into the kitchen bit by bit.

Plus I was thinking of gettinga delivery booked to go to my grans instead of me carrying it all over there on the bus - but if they expect a 93 year old with a walker to carry pallets into the kitchen then that's a no go isn't it?

Although knowing my gran if they didn't carry it for her she'd tell 'em to take it back then!

    Bless her.

    Thanks sweetie!

    Fanks hon!

A snuggle with my grumpy moggie is just what the doctor ordered chick - thank you!

I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed and I have dreadful drama queen tendencies at the best of times!

That "lady" on CDWM is a bit full on isn't she? I keep wailing at the tv "You're on TELLY mate - wind your neck in a bit!" She's making me cringe. :o (Can't wait for tonights when she finds out she came last!)

Big squidgy hugs back at ya hon, Cheers for that.
