now you look after yourself in all of that Jacks...sounds an awful lot & while great to be DF no good if you're sectioned! Also NO need to feel guilty about a couple of treats - can OH not help with cooking on your working nights & give you a lift to work so you get a rest without getting taxi (alhough think of the help you are giving to someone like mrs taxi when you get one - another way of doing your DFW bit!!). Whats planned for today? From time of last pst hope you get a lie in!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Hi Jacks, I sympathise! I started a part time job in Next on Tuesday night and am knackered. I ended up getting a taxi (9 quid!) on Wednesday night as I couldnt bear the thought of a 45 min journey home on the bus at 10 pm when I was due up at 5.45 am for my day job. Have managed to borrow a car for this coming week thankfully. How many jobs do you have?? xx0

How about getting DS and DD on board? DD is still at school isn't she? So when she gets in could she stick tea in the oven? If you are really struggling then you could think about just living off slow cooker meals. Then DS could prep the veggies for the next night while DD is sorting a load of washing and bunging it in?
I know you want to do as much for them as you can but they may need to help out short term for you to actually get some benefit from the extra hours you are putting in.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

 Time for an update? :santa2:
I've had a bit of a mare with the Christmas shopping:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=7311967#post7311967
And MIL rang today to ask how early we can get there on Christmas Day - but we're not going to her on Christmas Day so that was a really long and bewildering conversation.
I'm really beginning to suspect that this Alzheimers malarkey is just another way to get what she wants - since it's just a variation on her basic technique of repeating what she wants to happen over and over again no matter what you say in response until you lose the will to live and breathe... and just give in.
We've bought a new !!!!!! heap to replace our old !!!!!! heap that got written off. It cost £650 (Wooo!) which just happens to be exactly the amount I eventally ratchetted out of the insurance company.
(They offered £300 orginally and thanks to Lemontrees fab advice I treated that as a contemptibly low offer at the start of a negotiation. I think I could have got more out of them but Hubby begged me to sort it out by Crimbo.)
New !!!!!! heap has needed £250 worth of work already though. Fab.
I'm still in budget on the Grocery Challenge but I did set a nice comfy upper limit cos of Christmas. It's still £200 less than I spent in August and probably most of the other months prior to the GC though.
Due to my Christmas shopping crisis I've passed my target in the eBay neutral challenge - but Hubby BIL and nephew are still prevaricating about what they want for Christmas.
In their family you don't buy people what you think they'd like, THEY put an order in and you just comply. (Never has that *rolls eyes* icon been more appropriate than just then!)
So it's going Ok. I've got a bit of a heavy week this week, and then it's Christmas and I've got a few days off.
Then a bit more frantic activity around New Year and then I get paid and hopefully pay at least 10% off my target - which isn't bad for three weeks of craziness I don't think.
I'm home today to wait for my hamper and my Mr T order to be delivered and for the hire car to be collected.
I've been trying to conquer Laundry Mountain all day and I've just bribed my DD to do some hoovering for meso the house is looking a bit less neglected.
Christmas is a week today huh? Blimey.

But equally, that could be due to (not to scare you)anaemia, hypothyroidism, diabetes or other such things. See your doctor if you're tired all the time. Easy fixed if there's something wrong...

This has been sadly neglected since the week before Christmas!
I never seem to have time, by the time I've done the PM's, replied to a few newbies, and updated my regular challenges there never seems to be any time left!
However today I need a moan so I thought I'd resurrect it.
I keep getting the feeling it's just not my day.
First of all I got stabbed in the boob by the underwire of one of only three bras that still fit me - so 1) it blimmin hurt and 2) I'm now down to only two bras!
Then my mum rang to say that we're clearing out my grandmothers house over the next couple of weekends cos she may yet get out of hospital but she can't live on her own any more. (Which just makes me feel really sad for her as she fiercely values her independence.)
Then, the Tesco delivery came and the delivery guy just stacked it all up on the step and watched me carry it into the kitchen, unpack the pallets and bring them back - which set off my asthma - which was already a bit worse because of the cold snap. (Not being able to breathe makes me feel pathetic and feeble which I don't like at all. Plus I thought it was their job to bring it in - so the fact that he clearly had no intention of doing so just makes me feel annoyed! )
THEN (yeah there's more! ) I've been baking and needed to put the hot water on for an hour to wash up and I thought a nice steamy shower might help my chest as well... But when I tried there was no hot water and I went to listen to the immersion and it's not making any heating water up noises so I think it's kaput.
Oh and (last one I promise) in my attempt to get warm water out of the taps I managed to um.....pull one off in my hand...and I think that might be broken too.
:wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: Innit?!
So how have YOU been?
