  • Good morning! It’s March! Spring is coming 😀🌤🌼🪴

The date went well 🙂 He’s a really nice guy. I’m not sure if he’s “the one” but I’m not exactly looking for that - I’m just happy to keep getting to know him. He sent me a sweet voice message after the date which was nice 🥰

The weekend besides that was lovely. I went for a walk with my friend on Saturday, and had lunch outside at my parents’ house with the girls, and also managed to catch up on housework & the laundry.

The direct debits have all gone out today. I submitted my meter readings yesterday, and in February I used £22.33 worth of electricity, and £39.18 worth of gas, which is pretty good considering I’m at home all day with the heating on! Bulb want me to increase my payments but I’m not going to bother now considering I’m going to be out of here soon. If I owe them anything after the final meter reading then I’ll just make a one-off payment.

I paid my eBay fees the other day meaning “profit” for this year so far is £21.33 for the kids’ stuff. Not loads, but it’s gone towards new leggings they both desperately needed 🙂

I’ve ordered my mum a Mother’s Day gift via a friend’s small business, and I ordered her cards from Moonpig as they had 40% off via the app. I also ordered my dad’s & brother’s birthday cards from there, and put a deposit down for 2 sleepover teepees for DD2’s birthday in 5 weeks 😍 Both girls can sleep in the living room and I’ll order pizzas & ice-cream for them ☺️

Right, time to get back to work. I was up most of the night with a dodgy stomach so I’m running on empty 😩 my boss kindly said if I’m struggling I can take some time off. I’ll see how I go. Have a good day all! x
  • Good evening! I hope you’re all well. I’ve received the contract for the flat sale, which I’ll need a witness for, but how exciting! I’ll get it signed and sent back ASAP, along with a load of other documents that the buyer’s solicitors have asked for.

I have ordered DD2’s birthday cake so all I’ve got to do now is get her a card and some pressies 😁 She lost another tooth last night. At this rate she will have no teeth left 🤣

Work is MANIC & I’ve done loads today, so I’m rewarding myself with a night of relaxation. Mr New Man is going to call me in the next hour. It’ll be our first phone conversation since our 2nd date. I’m pretty sure a 3rd date is on the cards going by his messages 😁 I mean, he’s only human, who can blame him?! 😜🤪😂😂😂😂😂😂

Oh, and Budget 2021 news - I definitely won’t be paying any stamp duty unless completion doesn’t happen until October! Wooooop! 🥳🥂🍾
  • That all sounds brilliant! x

  • Good morning! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

As well as the flat sale contract I’ve also received the house purchase contract 😀 Both have been signed & witnessed and I’ll drop them off today at lunchtime.

I went for a coffee (I ordered a toffee spiced latte & didn’t like it!) and a walk with my mum yesterday and she told me she cries every day now 😢 she is really struggling with this lockdown. I didn’t realise because she always puts on a brave face. She has her jab on Saturday, and then of course it’s Mother’s Day the next day, so hopefully those 2 things will lift up her spirits. At least once she’s had her jab she will see some hope that all this will be over soon.

Date number 3 with Mr New Man happened and it was nice, but I think I’m going to call it a day with him. He’s a nice person but he has too much family drama for my liking and he’s already sending me essays about it. I just want something light-hearted right now. Plus, our working/childcare schedules do not match at all and finding time to see each other is very difficult. No hard feelings I’ll say, but he’s not the right person & I don’t want to waste his time, or mine!

The girls are going back to school today!!! Hoorayyyy! They’re at their dad’s right now so I sadly won’t be able to see them before they go in but I hope they’ll be ok. I took them to a huge park on Saturday which they loved 😊 and then we went to Nanny’s for dinner.

In money news, my tax credits went in on Friday, and I spent some of it on new pyjamas for the girls and also a denim jacket each. I got them from a supermarket brand who are much cheaper than Next and other places! I have enough food until at least Wednesday, maybe Thursday, and I filled my car up with fuel which should last me until next month 😊

Right, time to start work! Hope you all have a lovely day 💜 xxx

Supermarkets are great for kids clothes especially as they grow out of them so quickly.

  • DD1 decided to wait until today, PE day, to tell me her trainers were hurting her and no longer fit. Lol. So £22 spent on a new pair of trainers for her. I also bought her a top for £6 but she found the sequins irritating on her skin, so I’ll be returning it next time I’m in the supermarket! In the meantime I’ve ordered her another top that she actually likes for £9. I got DD2 a top aswell, and her denim jacket arrived today, so both girls are happy!

I had to be the tooth fairy for the 3rd time in 20 days last night. I’m pretty sure DD2 is just ripping her teeth out for money 😂 both of her 2 front teeth are now out and she has a strong lisp, bless her... it’s actually adorable 😍

I’ve caught up on my washing and the flat is smelling lovely 😍 Work is still crazy, but that’s nothing new 😆 in fact as I type this I’m still sat at my table with my work laptop on despite it being 7:30pm. I’m going to get the girls in bed now and then crack on with more work 🤦🏼‍♀️
  • Good evening readers. I hope you’re all ok. It’s Wednesday, AKA hump day! 🐪😂 My boss loves saying that during every Wednesday meeting lol.

Today has been very spendy! I got some bargains though. I got some birthday presents from Boots online, and after I applied a discount code I spent the savings on stuff for me. So essentially I got some freebies 😁 lol. I also added £2.44 worth of points to my advantage card, taking me up to £7.95.

I also paid the final service charge instalment for this financial year, £7 towards my boss’ house move present, andddd I got tickets for a gig!! Me & 2 friends are going in August and booking it felt so amazing!!! The first thing I’ve booked in over a year 🥳🥳🥳 One friend has paid me for her ticket, the other one hasn’t yet. Knowing her I won’t see that money until December 😂
