PB’s Very Exciting Diary...!

Thank God It’s Friday! 🍷🍷🍷My day off yesterday was spent doing an online supermarket shop using £11.50 worth of vouchers (collection on Sunday), packing, seeing my friend & showing her my new house, a bit of housework, and seeing my parents. That’s about as exciting as it gets at the moment 🙈
I need to pay £240.00 to the freeholder so they can provide the “pre-sale package” which is just wonderful 😒 Leasehold properties are the devil. So much money 😣😣😣
It’s the girls’ last day at school today for a couple of weeks. Yay... 😬 lol. At least it’s only for 2 weeks though. Their school is raising awareness for epilepsy so they need to wear something purple with their uniform. DD1’s trainers are purple so she is wearing those, and DD2 has boots that are more pink than purple but meh, she can wear those and they’ve both got purple hair things 🙂🙂 I’m going to go through all their clothes this weekend and have a good sort out, and then I’ll give their dad all their current clothes so that I have less to move when it comes to the big day! I’ll just get him to bring enough clothes when he drops them off.
Have a lovely weekend everyone! 💜0 -
Happy National Out Of Lockdown Day! 😀🥳💃🏼🥂 Thank goodness that’s over with. Now we can travel! 😍 Very exciting 😀
I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was good & very productive ☺️ I sorted out the girls’ clothes & realised that DD1 has hardly anything for the warmer weather. DD2 has plenty as she gets DD1’s pre-loved clothes bless her, which she currently doesn’t mind having, but I needed to order DD1 some bits. I had a Very offer which said spend £60 and get £30 refunded, so I got her 5 tops and 5 pairs of school socks for £35 😊 So that was good! Their dad will give me half. I should get them this week.
I also should be getting one of DD2’s birthday presents delivered, and her card that I ordered off Moonpig. I really need to get some decorations. It’s come around so quick - it’s only another week so I need to hurry!
This weekend was also good because I took the girls to a big local park, and then after I dropped them off at their dad’s house I saw one of my best friends who had been struggling massively with the lockdown. She’s a single mum and gets absolutely no help with her little boy, plus she is furloughed so she has no interaction with anyone except her toddler. I went to her house and we had a takeaway. You were allowed to go into someone’s house for mental health reasons so it was definitely ok because I was starting to get concerned about her wellbeing. There is only so much you can do on the phone! Anyway, we had a nice evening & she definitely seems a bit brighter now 😊 At least now we can meet outside with the children, including her garden 🙌🏼The weather is meant to be GLORIOUS this week! ☀️☀️ I’m going to be stuck working all day today but then after that the kids will be dropped off again at mine, and then I’ve got a moving company coming over this evening to quote me on moving my stuff to the new house 😊 Exciting times!
Have a lovely day everyone x1 -
So the cost to move all my stuff and reassemble the big items in the new house is £430.00 which is cheaper than I was expecting. That’s not including the bunk beds though - if I’m taking them with me it will cost quite a lot more as they’d need a 2nd van, so I’m definitely going to sell them to my friend’s brother & partner (I was contemplating taking them with me as it’ll be one less urgent thing to worry about, but it makes no financial sense now).
I'm going to get a couple more quotes, mainly because these guys who came here tonight might not be available when I actually move 😊
The girls are very excited about moving. As am I! I just want to be in that house now 😍😍1 -
Good evening! I love a 7:35pm sunset 😍 and the weather today was absolutely incredible! It was so nice to go out and feel the sun on my face! I am doing flexi-time this week due to the school holidays, so I worked until 1:30pm and then I met my friend at a park with all our kids 😀 After that I drove to the conveyancers to drop something off. It’s about a 25-minute drive so it was nice to go somewhere different. Unfortunately on the way there DD2 announced that she needed the toilet URGENTLY 😅 So I had to quickly drive to the nearest supermarket!
I have now received the Very order and everything seems ok. The tops are a tiny bit too big for DD1, but not crazy enough for me to return them. She’ll grow into them 😁
I got another quote today from a man with a van type company and they want double the amount of the first quote! So, that’s a big fat no lol. Honestly, I’d understand if I had a massive house full of stuff but I obviously don’t 🙄
The kids are now in bed, my candles and tea lights are lit & I’m going to watch a film 🙂 I didn’t sleep well last night so I’m hoping tonight is better before the caffeine addiction gets worse 😂2 -

Thank you!
Pay day was yesterday and I got another extra £30 thanks to the tax code change due to working from home. I have boosted my savings a bit more for the deposit 😊 I got my tax credits today so the account is looking nice & healthy, even with all the direct debits going out. I’m hoping that I qualify for the £500.00 tax credits one-off payment on 23rd April. That money would really really help, especially as my car insurance is due this month aswell!
I collected DD2’s birthday cake at lunchtime today and it’s amazing. She won’t see it until tomorrow but I know she will love it 😍 I need to wrap her pressies & write her card before she gets back from her dad’s.
I had a zoom call with some friends last night & I might be going to a country park with one of them tomorrow afternoon which will be nice, even though the weather has gone from being glorious & warm to absolutely freezing! 🥶 I was going to go for a long walk earlier but I quickly decided against it as I was just so cold! Hopefully it warms up again soon 🙂
I’m off to do the washing up & then I’m going to completely relax 💆🏼♀️ Have a lovely evening everyone! 💜 x0 -
Hello! I hope you all had a good Easter! 🐣🐰🍫 My weekend was absolutely manic. Work seems relaxing in comparison 😂 The main reason was because DD2 turned 6 and we had a few things planned for her to make her birthday as special as possible. It was her second birthday in this pandemic & I felt so bad for her as she really wanted a party and to see her friends which obviously couldn’t happen, but I think she had a lovely time and she seemed to really enjoy herself so it was worth the exhaustion 😊😊😊
Back to the grind today though! 🤓
My bank account is looking very sad at the moment! I paid my car insurance this morning so that’s partly to blame, but also DD2’s birthday and this house move has eaten up huge chunks of my wages that I only got a few days ago 😂 Beans on toast for dinner for the next 3 weeks 😉
An Amazon seller is refunding me for a missing item so soon I’ll be £10.99 better off which is incredible news 😆
I went to my new house again over the weekend. The kids’ dad came with me as I thought it would be nice for him to see where our girls will be living half the time. He also helped me measure the bedrooms and bathroom so I can start looking at beds, curtains/blinds etc. The seller and his partner were there & they were very lovely and friendly. I can’t wait to get in there 😍😍 I have so many ideas bouncing around in my head! 😁

It’s been a spendy weekend, which was not budgeted for 😨 I have had 2 takeaways, used about half a tank of petrol & bought some bits from the supermarket which I thought I needed but actually didn’t. Gah!
To make me feel better I’ve put an almost new bottle of perfume on eBay. It’s an expensive one but I’ve gone off it so figured it was best to sell it. It’s only been on for about 10 hours and it’s got loads of watchers already 😊
I really need to watch the pennies this month so will see what else I can sell.
On the plus side I walked about 7 miles today which I’m sure burnt off the calories from my 2 take aways 😂😂2 -
Monday done! Well, work wise it is anyway, although if the system starts working again (it crashed 5 minutes ago) then I’ll probably do some extra work tonight. I’m so tired and I could do without it but it’s so busy right now 😨😨
I thought that I’d better do a house update...
Help To Buy have told me they’re waiting for the letter of undertaking and authority to complete from my conveyancers. They also told me that the completion date will need to be a minimum of 15 days after the undertaking, meaning I’m definitely going to have to pay for another valuation as the one I got in January is going to expire on 25th April 😒 More money! Luckily they said they’d accept a desktop valuation which is much cheaper - £90 as opposed to £225. But still, very annoying!
I need to buy buildings insurance for the house ASAP as the conveyancers need to check that it meets my mortgage lenders’ requirements. It’s going to cost about £90 for the year and the start date needs to be the date of exchange or before, so I’ve e-mailed the conveyancers asking if it’s going to be any time soon. I don’t want to pay too early!
So all that being said, it’s highly unlikely that completion will be this month and we are looking at May which is already a busy month for me (DD1’s birthday, my birthday, and a few other plans) but never mind, it will be worth it 🙂🙂🙂 Luckily the people who are buying my bunkbeds still want them and are happy to wait. I’m going to use the money to buy the table & 6 chairs off the vendor of the new house, plus the double bed in DD2’s bedroom, and then I’ll have £40 left which can be spent on my hair appointment 💇🏼♀️😉
Not much else to report. My body is aching so much after yesterday’s epic walk 😂 it wasn’t just a long walk, it was also a power walk... so I felt absolutely shattered afterwards! Walking around the supermarket today was interesting, and my mum saw me in there and she laughed at me 😂
The girls will be dropped off any minute now. They returned to school today after the Easter break 😊😊 So all is back to normal, especially now the shops are open! And pub gardens 😎🍻 lol x

One month to go until I hopefully pass my probationary period (😀😀😀) and I've just been informed that they are going to recruit for someone to help me 😍 Hallelujah! I’m so thankful as I’m really trying my hardest to get everything done and there just isn’t enough hours in the day. I have always been honest with management about how I feel like I’m spreading myself too thinly & they know the workload is nuts, so receiving that message has lifted my spirits. I absolutely LOVE my role, and my employer - I don’t think I’ve ever been happier in all honesty, but there is so much to do and whilst it’ll be hard to let go of some of my clients and tasks, I can’t see any other way of fighting the fire. We’ve been trying to streamline everything but it isn’t enough - we need more hands on deck!
My only worry is the new person not being a good fit. There are 6 of us in our department and I get on so well with every single person which I don’t think has ever happened before in my life 😂 so I’m really hoping the new person is also nice, kind and hard-working. Time will tell!
Also there’s the small matter of finding time to train someone but luckily there are others who know how to do my role too, so hopefully it won’t all fall on me. I’m the worlds worst teacher 😂😂0
